Greetings and happy summer! ☀️
Going into fallI, we looking to add 2 more special working students to join our wonderful group of girls, ages 10 to 18. We are seeking a student(s) who is enthusiastic about horses and is willing to put forth the effort to learn! All our students participate in many every day barn chores as well as more hands on horse work. They will learn the daily schedule/routine of the horses, clients, and lessons.

Horses are large, domesticated animals and require 24/7 care, a flexible schedule on the students and parents part is a necessity! ***

Our facility holds many amenities including 3 riding arenas (2 outdoors, 1 indoor), a heated tack room and bathroom, miles of trails, a pond for swimming in the summer, and much more!

We also host multiple on site shows during the summer that students who strive to show can compete in, however showing is not a necessity if the student does not wish to show. We also have clinics year round to further education!

All students receive a lesson each day they work as well as extra time in the saddle when time and schedule permit.

It is rare that we have availability in the working student program and we are looking for a motivated and passionate kid who thirsts for horse knowledge and experience.

This is a student program with monthly dues, not a paid position- flexible options for program dues.
Please contact Amanda for further information or with questions at [email protected]

A little late to share 😅
Reagan and Bo had a fabulous time at GMHA June 🐴🥇🌟They not only qualified for championships at 3rd level but also received the last of the scores needed to finish Reagan’s bronze medal 🥉! And to top the weekend off, they received their first qualifying score at 4th and started Reagan’s journey for her silver medal 🥈! We are all so proud! 💜

Twice in the last two weeks, I’ve received a note from someone that I’ve taught thanking me for their lessons. One was from a former student just wanting to connect and share with me how much fun she had being in my program; the other was this spectacularly beautiful hand-written thank you card from a clinic I taught recently. They stopped me dead in my tracks, brought a tear to my eye both times, and filled me with gratitude that this thing that I do - which I LOVE every minute of, but is so, so stinking hard - is making a difference.

I keep those notes. I file them away. Sometimes they come when I’m in a really low place, and their timing is phenomenal because they bring me out of a dark moment. I’m in the light right now, but I know I’ll need them someday. So I keep them.

So, if you’ve ever had a lesson, or a training experience that knocked your socks off, write your coach a note. Outside of horses, too. A teacher who changed your life. A doctor or nurse whose care was extraordinary. A flight attendant or shoe salesman or wait staff who went above and beyond. People who care for people have tough jobs because people can be, you know, awful. Write the note. It means the WORLD to us.
