An attempt at a phot was made…. A few times. Reggie is doing good work at showing the littles trail exquisite. He’s a good mentor, a protector when off leash dogs charge us.

Had a great weekend at the Jay Jack play seminar. We have been working on Reggie’s commitment to play and staying engaged with anything that doesn’t involve food.
When Reggie gets overwhelmed, scared or offended he wants and wants to go home.

Day one I was instructed to change my play style with him to be able to add in more of the stalking he is looking for

Day 2 we upped the game with things he is nervous of, in the past spring pole has been scary for him so we worked play near the spring pole set up, and I accidentally stepped on his foot and he didn’t even think of quitting.

I was so happy with his performance and love seeing him come alive and have fun with toys

Spent a day in Reggie’s world. That world includes sheep and other kelpies. It was great to be able to slow down and understand what he is attempting to accomplish in the field.

This is a role reversal for us, he knows what is expected, I’m the one learning. It’s hard to switch to student sometimes but it’s necessary.

Hoping I can continue to learn and we can grow together.
