This post comes with a heavy heart, as we have made the difficult decision to close Sticks and Bones Doggie Daycare. We will forever be grateful to you all for entrusting us with your pups. We have come to love them all!

Rescue lately for a lot of us has been challenging.

We are seeing record number owner surrenders. Connecticut is potentially closing imports and that is a death sentence for dogs that hang in the balance.

Every rescue right now needs help in every way.

We have liters of puppies that we have posted that are not covered. We have older dogs that are out the puppy phase that also need foster. WE NEED YOU.

BFAR pays for everything. Food, toys, treats, vet visits, grooming, daycare (for appropriate dogs) and crates. YOU pick your foster.
You want to keep your foster dog? No problem. YOU are the reason the dog is living. We also temperament test every dog, and every dog is fully vetted.

Fostering can test your patience especially puppies who want to chew your sh*t but I can promise, the love you receive in return is unlike any other.

Worried about getting too attached? I would be a liar if I said it doesn't happen, it does. You let one go to save another life and make room in the south for another helpless soul to be saved.
In the words of Sheryl Crow, the first cut is the deepest. Same applies to fostering. The first one hurts, and it does get easier. Most of our adopters stay in contact with the foster parent to keep them updated on how they are doing!

This is a fun event to support the Norwell Police Department Animal Division!

We are so excited for this upcoming Sunday! We have the amazing playing our “pups on the patio” event to help raise funds for the Norwell Police Animal Division! Come hang out on our DOG FRIENDLY PATIO! We will have raffles from local businesses and swag from for you and your pups! $3 OF EACH TITOS BEVERAGE will be going back to Norwell Police Animal Division! Hope to see you there!
