As the holidays wrap up, a lot of families start noticing the real rhythm of life with a puppy.

Less novelty.
More energy.

More questions about what to do next.
That doesn’t mean anything is wrong.
It means real life is starting.

This is the moment where small routines and clear expectations matter most. Not big overhauls. Not perfection. Just simple, doable starting points.

January isn’t about fixing your puppy.
It’s about giving both of you a steadier foundation.

If you’re feeling this shift right now, you’re not behind. You’re right on time.

A lot of families reach this point and quietly wonder if they’re doing something wrong.
You’re not.

This stage isn’t about fixing your puppy.
It’s about helping them understand what life looks like now.

Clear routines.
Gentle structure.
Support that meets both of you where you are.

That’s what helps the next few weeks feel steadier instead of stressful.

If you’re in this phase and want help setting things up so it feels more manageable, comment PUPPY below. 🐶

A lot of families worry when this phase shows up.

More movement.
More curiosity.
More testing.

This isn’t a step backward.
It’s a puppy feeling safe enough to explore.

Support matters most here. Not pressure.
Not perfection.

If this feels familiar, you’re not behind.
You’re right where many families land at this stage.

The first days can feel calm and surprisingly easy.

Then your puppy starts to settle in… and things shift.

More energy.
More testing.

More moments where you wonder, “Is this normal?”
It is.

Your puppy isn’t being difficult.
They’re getting comfortable.

They’re learning what this new world is like and where they fit in it.

This is usually the point where structure and routine start to matter most.

Not to take the joy away, but to help your puppy feel safe and guided.

If this feels familiar right now, you’re not behind.

If you’re here because life with your dog feels harder than you thought it would…
you’re in the right place.

Most families don’t struggle because they don’t care enough.
They struggle because no one prepares you for how much emotional work this can be.

Puppies grow.
Dogs test boundaries.
Routines fall apart.
And suddenly it feels like you’re behind.

You’re not.

I believe training should feel supportive, structured, and judgment-free.
Not loud.
Not forceful.
Not overwhelming.

This page is here to help you breathe, understand what’s normal, and remember that support exists.

You don’t have to fix everything today.
And you don’t have to do this alone.

(This is usually the moment when families start realizing guidance helps.)

If you’re bringing a puppy home during the holidays, it helps to know what’s coming.

The first days often feel easy.
Extra cuddles. A calmer start than expected.

Then, as your puppy settles in, things begin to shift.
That doesn’t mean you did something wrong.

It means your puppy feels safe enough to explore.
They’re not being difficult.
They’re learning where they landed.

Simple structure and gentle routines don’t take the joy away.
They help puppies feel secure in a brand-new world.

If this stage is coming up for you, you’re not behind.
You’re right where most families are.

Comment PUPPY if you want help setting things up so the next few weeks feel more manageable, and I'll message you our puppy guide!

Cold grass. Wet ground. Dark mornings.
Potty behavior dips happen, especially for puppies.

You can fix it by:
• staying out longer
• going to the same spot
• quiet “go potty”
• treat inside

If potty habits slipped this winter, I can help.

Comment POTTY and I’ll send the step-by-step reset.

Holiday puppies don’t know the rules yet.
Everything is new… sounds, people, decorations, energy.

If your puppy seems wild, bitey, or “all over the place,” you’re not doing anything wrong.
They just need a simple pattern to follow.

Try this today: • potty
• play
• settle
• rest

Repeat that all day long.

It helps puppies calm faster, listen better, and feel safe in all the holiday chaos.

If you want the super simple Holiday Puppy Routine, comment PUPPY and I’ll send it to you messages.

A lot of dogs jump more during the holidays…
and it’s not disrespect or dominance.

It’s excitement. Fast energy. Big feelings.

Dogs use their bodies to cope when things get busy.
Jumping is one of the most common ways — especially in winter.

A simple greeting pattern can make this so much easier.

If you want help choosing the right greeting routine for your dog,

➡️ Comment ME and I’ll point you to the first step.

Be honest… this one hit a nerve, didn’t it? 😅

As dog parents, we expect our dogs to have structure, consistency, and emotional regulation, while we snack all day, skip workouts, and start routines “next week.”

That disconnect shows up as dog behavior problems, not because you’re doing something wrong, but because dogs need clear routines and realistic expectations to feel safe..

This isn’t judgment.
It’s perspective.

Good dog training isn’t about perfection.
It’s about clarity, support, and calm leadership.
If this made you pause, save it.

You’ll want the reminder on a hard day ❤️
