😳😳😳😳 Abort! Abort! Mayday! Mayday! Soooo, just finding out that Saturday, 29th is the first day of regulated deer hunting in the Preserve! Oooops!! Looks like this adventure waits until after December 13th 🫣 Stay safe folks! Wear orange 🧡 🦌

Join us on Saturday, November 29th at 12:00pm, for a Covert Farm Nature Hike on foot (human feet - not horses 🤣), led by naturalist Lynden Godsoe, into the Little Elk Creek Preserve from Covert Farm!

🍂 Even in November, the woods are alive with beauty. Spot evergreens like eastern hemlock and pine, red and orange berries from winterberry and holly, and the bare-branched silhouettes of oaks and maples. Keep an eye out for white-tailed deer, red foxes, rabbits, winter songbirds, and, if you’re lucky, a soaring bald eagle overhead.

Please bring:
• Hydration
• Shoes that can get wet
• Snacks for the journey
• Your phone or camera for amazing pictures!
