Did you know that it was recently Pet Fire Safety Week? 👨‍🚒

As pet owners, being prepared and knowledgeable on fire safety is crucial. Our pets rely on our actions for their safety, and it's up to us to do the best possibly can. ❤️

In 2022, 185 million people, or just under 10% of the world population, were affected by a natural disaster. As pet owners, it is even more crucial to be vigilant and be as prepared as possible for any circumstances; while humans are more understanding of what is happening, our furry counterparts are not.

Working with animals can be one of the most rewarding jobs! Knowing you get to make a difference in an animals life throughout your career is HUGE! 🩷

From veterinarians and vet technicians, to groomers, wildlife biologists, shelter & rescue employees, pet sitters, and everyone in between, we are extremely grateful for everything you do. (And so are the animals, even if they can't tell you. 😉)

This is largely due to the loud sounds of fireworks, family gatherings, (doors/gates being left open), and more. 🪪 The answer is A, TRUE! Microchipped cats are 21.4x more likely to be reunited with their home than non microchipped cats. Meanwhile, microchipped dogs are only 2.4x more likely. Still, microchipping makes it monumentally easier to return a pet to the owner.

What a wonderful idea

Hey! 📢 Do you have any cat, dog, or rabbit Beanie Babies in storage? Under your bed? In the attic? Don't let those babies sit in a bag--our Humane Education team needs them!
When we teach about adoptions with our littlest youth, we love to do a "mock" adoption activity where the kiddos adopt a small stuffed cat or dog! This super cute lesson teaches kids how to lovingly care for animals and the importance of adopting an animal that is a good fit for your home, family, and lifestyle. But our education team has run out of stuffies for adoption!
So, please bring your stray stuffed animals to us! Any small cat, dog, or rabbit stuffed animals can be dropped in our donation bin--labeled for "Humane Ed" please! 🐈‍⬛🐕🐇

We at Feline Fund are so grateful to be able to partner with some great organizations, to bring this free vaccine and microchip clinic to Detroit and Dearborn residents.

These orgs host many dog vaccines clinics but invited us to join in so we can now include CATS!

Shout out to Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society for hosting the clinic…and Oliver's Foundation, Dog Aide, Waggin' Tails, Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit for inviting us and including our feline friends!

We are grateful to have the opportunity to commemorate Daniel Ross. When Daniel passed away a few months ago, we were put in contact with his family. We were able to learn about what a wonderful man he was, and how much he loved animals. We are humbled to have Daniel's friends and families donate to Feline Fund in his memory. While the loss of those we love are some of the most difficult pains to endure, we hope it brings peace knowing you all have made such a big difference in his honor, with a cause he cared so deeply for. ❤️ To the friends and family of Daniel Ross, thank you for your generosity.
