My senior baby Maron ☺️
✨here’s the few photos from his spa day ♥️ I was so concentrating and look funny so covering my face 😂
It’s been awhile since I groomed him last and wasn’t sure if he’d make it through the process today but he did it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥹
He’s 16 yr and 6 months old. I stopped using grooming table for him awhile back and this is how I groom my boy ☺️
He loves the bath 🛁 I gave him massage to help bring better blood circulation while in the tub
He falls asleep but at the same time I always monitor him and his heart by laying my hand under his heart to feel the heartbeat while supporting him at the same time.
Most difficult part is the drying part
Since he doesn’t have any fat on him anymore, he can’t adjust his body temperature like young pups so he shakes.. I mean SHAKES..
I need to dry him and warm him quickly and this process is the most tense for me as he gets cold, it gives him lots of burdens.
Once he’s dry he’s mostly ok though he was still shaking today
He was pretty much nervous and tensed. I don’t blame him because he’s blind 🥺
I don’t look for perfect cut on him anymore
I give him haircut that is easy maintenance and short around face
*high senior babies (15 & up) get dirty around their muzzle easily 🤭
I’m telling you they are just like babies 🥹 so adorable 🥹♥️
He lays and relaxes while getting haircut though he’s a grandpa, he’ll make a move whenever he wants so I need to hold him right so he won’t get injured
He did very well today and thought he would take a long nap but woke up around dinner time 😆😂
Oh Maron how I love you so much 🥹♥️
If you have a senior babies, depending on your pup’s health conditions but bathing them a day before grooming appointments would help your babies have less stress at appointment and ask your groomer to have their appointment as “in and out “ which means they do not stay at salon more than 3 hours.
You don’t wanna stress your senior babies

One of the many things I always do is to check your pup’s skin condition while drying them. It’s very important to see how their skin conditions are. It’s hard to tell in regular basis (cuz covered by fur) but for us groomers, we can see them clearly what their owners can’t.
