We are needing them to make light weight doggie doors. The sheet metal doors are so very heavy!! Please look around in your collections and see if you have some spare plexiglass. Thank you!!

There is an urgent need to foster a dog for about 6 months. The person is leaving Tuesday. The person who was going to watch the dog, decided not to- basically at the last minute. The following is from the owner:

I am a January Sixer, meaning I was at the capital January 6, 2021. I have to do approximately six months which means I'll be gone six months. I need someone to take care of Jedi. I'll supply all the super high-quality dog food. Jedi is a Karilian Bear Dog which means he's a wild animal in a doggy suit. They are not domesticated. They are classified primitive. He loves all people and all dogs, but not all dogs love him. He's an intact male he must be kept in a fenced area or kept on a leash at all times. he will run off. the number one killer of these dogs are cars because they are the king of their environments. The only breed that's fast enough and smart enough not to get killed by Alaskan grizzly bears or any other natural predator. they fear nothing and have no concept that a vehicle could kill them, but if you love dogs, this breed will grab your heart and mine like no other, I know I've owned all sorts of dogs. He's the most exuberantly, loving soul I've ever met human or animal, super intelligent.

Mama Autumn is ready for adoption (and to get a break from her kids! She is a young mama with healthy babies also available for adoption. Everyone has been fixed and age appropriate vaccines.

Tank came to us in April of 2020, along with China. Tank eventually was adopted by a caring family in Norwood who spoiled him and loved him. We found out that Tank died on Wednesday. He was a great dog!! He will be missed 😢

Good day to you!
As some of you have heard, Hoof and Paw Thrift Store is needing to move to a different location. Well, after much effort, praying and waiting, we have a new location! 321 E Main in Naturita – the blue shop across from the Naturita Fire Dept.
The thing is, we need help and lots of it! We need help with cleaning, supplies, construction, electrical, heating and of course, money as well . And then the final thing is, we need help moving!
A recap on last year: We were able to help over 140 animals in our care, with the help of the Moab Veterinary Clinic, Second Chance, Montrose Animal Protection Agency, Telluride Humane Society and San Miguel Vet Clinic. With the assistance of our collaborators, sales from the Thrift Store, and generous donations, we brought spay/neuter and vaccination/wellness clinics into our community, helping over 300 animals. I don’t know about you, but to me, that’s a lot of animals for our area! We can’t help all those animals without your help. We just take what is donated and distribute to where it is needed. So in a sense, this is a community effort.
