I am so freaking proud of this family and Roxy!! Roxy has been in service dog training with me for awhile now. This is her first big family trip being a service dog for her girl. If anyone doesn’t know, service dog training is difficult in itself but then training for a young handler is even harder. This family is rocking it!!!! 🤩 It makes my heart soar to see this family get more independence and feel safer having Roxy by their side. Great job guys!!!

Welcome to Seventh Savior Daisy (L) and Lilly (R)! Daisy isn’t too sure of her new baby sister so we are working on introducing these two and teaching puppy Lilly the basics. These two are a hoot to work with!!

This is the first time Murphy was able to be off leash in his yard without mom and dad trying to get him back!!! We started with positive reinforcement (treats) to establish what a recall cue meant, then moved to practice longer distances with a long line. Now that he has mastered that, he has an ecollar for further reinforcement. He nailed it!!

These guys NAILED our final reactivity group session this weekend; led by Rachael with Pack Leader Training Academy LLC. You would never believe that in a few short weeks, these dogs learned dog neutrality, handler focus, and conditioned relaxation.

The next reactivity group class is on the books starting May 25th. If your dog is aggressive, reactive, overly friendly, too excitable, etc. this may be the class for you. Reach out to Rachael Marie or myself to get you scheduled. These classes fill up fast!

Dutton Conditioned Relaxation

This is a major victory. It took a little over an hour to get Dutton to sit (AND STAY ON HIS OWN!) with a stranger in the room. We had to tag team with mom at the end. Dutton is an extremely anxious dog. Anytime new people enter, he shakes uncontrollably, barks, and growls. He is unable to relax even after multiple visits. He also refuses treats even from mom. This exercise doesn’t require any communication with Dutton. We stand on the leash and let him relax on his own. We will get to a full behavioral down with time. But this is a major win for us!

**fake service dog barking in the background** Doodle NAILED Walmart!!! We saw not 1, not 2, but 3 fakes in the store within the hour session. Unfortunately we had to record for our safety as one of the dogs started barking and trying to jump out of the cart. I’m so proud of this girl for rocking her public access training.

Even Seven is not perfect. Car rides…totally fine. Car rides when it’s over 85 degrees…absolutely terrified 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ I don’t get it sometimes.

This girl has been amazing the last few sessions and come to find out she didn’t have any issues with the neighbor being outside?! I call that a major win!!!
