It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to inform you about a significant change in the future of Good Life Pet Sitting.

After 7 wonderful years of serving our community and caring for your furry family members, I have made the difficult decision to close Good Life Pet Sitting at the end of November if all possible. This decision did not come lightly, and I want to assure you that it was made after careful consideration. My family and I have purchased a 40 horse commercial stable property on 28 acres that I will be taking over full time off of Highway DD!

However, there is some hopeful news to share as well. We are currently in negotiations with another reputable pet care company that is interested in acquiring Good Life Pet Sitting. While we cannot provide all the details at this moment, we believe this transition will allow your pets to continue receiving the same level of care and attention they have grown accustomed to over the years.

We understand that your pets are an integral part of your family, and their well-being is of the utmost importance to us. Rest assured, we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for both you and your beloved animals.

In the coming weeks, we will keep you updated on the progress of this transition and provide more information about the acquiring company and how it will affect your existing bookings and services.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your loyalty and trust in Good Life Pet Sitting over the years. It has been a privilege to serve you and your pets, and I am immensely thankful for the relationships we have built.

As spring turns into summer, be sure to pay attention to the signs that your dogs, and the dogs you care for, don’t get dehydrated. Also, the pavement can get hot for those tender dog toes so stick to walking mostly in the shade during the really hot months.
Oh, and don’t forget the water for the kitties too!

HYDRATION 💦

Hydrating your dog is something so simple but it's actually so overlooked and most people don't think about hydrating when it comes to meal times.

If your dog is eating a kibble diet, they are more prone to dehydration. This is because the dry kibble requires moisture for digestion. When your dog is not adequately hydrated, the body pulls water from the internal organs to digest the kibble and this can lead to the state of mild dehydration. Even if they are drinking throughout the day, the digestion process pulls water from their system after eating.

One of the best and easiest thing you can do as a kibble feeder is HYDRATE YOUR DOGS FOOD!

Adding water to kibble softens it for digestion and hydrates your dog's body systems.

Great options to hydrate kibble include
💧Filtered Water
💧Coconut Water
💧Bone Broth
💧Goat's Milk
💧Decaffeinated Green Tea (aids in cancer prevention)

Quick Tip - you can freeze all of the above in trays or silicone molds and then pop out a cube or two and melt with hot water at meal time!

*Always give your dog access to fresh water at all times

*Always rest your dog after eating any meal. Never exercise your dog immediately after eating due to risk of bloat

We have disconnected goodlifepet Instagram page that was linked to Facebook due to it being hacked. We can't get into the account either to shut it down. If you have us on your Instagram please block goodlifepet. We hope in the future we will have a new account. In the meantime, we are sorry for any inconveniences or problems that might have pop up. Please dont open or write back to them. If you can report the account to, that would hopefully help so Instagram will shut the account down on their end!

This weekend was Ozzie’s second agility show EVER and I am one proud mama! On Friday, he ran with 2 different handlers which was the first time he ran for someone else other than me. He did wonderful for being a beginner dog! Yesterday, he did fantastic in the 2 classes... I was the one that messed him up on getting Qs 🤦🏼‍♀️. Today he got his first Q in Novice B standard and took 2nd out of 5 dogs in the class! He did wonderful on the other 2 courses today as well, but just didn’t qualify! Ozzie has come a long ways in less than a year of training! He is definitely giving it his all every time out on the course! He just turned 3!

GLPS Pet Sitters Must:
* Live in or adjacent to our service area. (See “Service Areas" listed above).
* Be physically fit and able to work and commute in all types of weather. Ideally, this is an active person truly wants outlets for their energy even on rainy, snowy, cold or hot days.
* Have access to a reliable vehicle and carry a valid driver’s license and insurance.
* Have experience with, love and desire to work with dogs and/or cats and other companion animals.
* Love people as well as animals. Pet sitters do as much customer service as pet service providers.
* Be 100% reliable. In case of emergencies, we try to cover, but remember, our pet clients depend on you.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively with GLPS, fellow pet sitters and clients.
* Take this job seriously. Yes, it’s fun, but it’s also a responsibility.
* Be organized and aware of details.
* Provide professional references.
* Provide a current and clean background check. (We provide the link to have your background check completed. The cost is paid by you, but will be reimbursed after you fulfill your 6-month commitment.)

Our Services
* In-home pet sitting: We visit their home 1 to 4 times per day to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pet(s).
* Overnight care: Sitters spends the night in our client’s homes, with 10-hour sleepovers with a mid-day visit.
* Mid-day walking: This service is one visit per day for each client to exercise dogs while their owners are away.
