Our home seems to have minimal damage, but I know just a few miles up the road is another story. Thankfully our family that was in the path of the tornado stayed safe. Their homes got banged up, but all of that can be replaced.

Social Cues class still has openings!! Some see Rachael’s new AMAZING facility and get some good training with your pup! Plus I’ll be there so you get to see my beautiful 10am face 💁🏼‍♀️

Group class on 2/8 has 5 spots available!
This is a “social cues” class where we learn how to appropriately greet other dogs, how to advocate for your dog if they are feeling uncomfortable and ways to tell how your dog is feeling in that moment.
Also proper and timely corrections and appropriate tool usage!
Class is Saturday 2/8 at 10am! $75 per dog

Can we talk about some major WINS for a second?! Buddy, a SDiT, is rocking his focus and public access training homework. Not barking at kids?? Who are we?! I love it!!! Keep up the good work team! 🐾💙

Working with Buddy - Buddy is a high drive mix so he is constantly on the go. Learning how to leave a tennis ball is a must for this guy as a service dog.

Recall training with Murphy
Recall training with Murphy

This is the first time Murphy was able to be off leash in his yard without mom and dad trying to get him back!!! We started with positive reinforcement (treats) to establish what a recall cue meant, then moved to practice longer distances with a long line. Now that he has mastered that, he has an ecollar for further reinforcement. He nailed it!!

This is a major victory. It took a little over an hour to get Dutton to sit (AND STAY ON HIS OWN!) with a stranger in the room. We had to tag team with mom at the end. Dutton is an extremely anxious dog. Anytime new people enter, he shakes uncontrollably, barks, and growls. He is unable to relax even after multiple visits. He also refuses treats even from mom. This exercise doesn’t require any communication with Dutton. We stand on the leash and let him relax on his own. We will get to a full behavioral down with time. But this is a major win for us!
