This is Abby she now has a name, she needs a surgery called femoral head ostectecomy (removal of the end of damaged hip bone that has been broken away from socket) she is about 1 year old and has lived that entire year in pain as "breeding stock." The Amish breeder couldn't sell her so he was keeping her to breed her entire life, until he realized her injury was visible to the inspector and didn't want to "put any money into her" luckily he called me before he decided to do the alternative. This is either an injury that occurred early after birth or a hereditary disease called Legg-Calve-Perthes disease. Either way, any reputable breeder would have given her proper care rather than let her suffer. This will be a costly surgery, if you are able to help this amazing rescue help her it would be greatly appreciated ♡

Reggie is an 8-year-old, male Maltipoo who weighs in at about 8 lbs. Reggie is an owner surrender and will need to go to a family without young kids. He would do best in a quiet household with owners who are willing to take things at his pace. Reggie is extremely anxious and fearful but has made amazing progress in the first 24 hours. Right now we are working on consistency and building trust. Reggie is house-trained (belly band in first video was just a precaution), walks great on a leash, loves his walks, sleeps in his crate at night without objection, and knows basic commands like come, sit, and stay. If you have the patience and understanding needed to work with an anxious, fearful dog, he will be your loyal, loving companion always. Currently being fostered in Brookfield, WI.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!!

I am a curious, friendly 6 year old, 7 pound Maltese and my name is Cara Lin. I am very fond of other small dogs, I have never met a kitty or larger dog but foster mom says I don't have a care in the world and I easily could meet a new friend and see how it goes. I ride really well in a crate in the car, I have gone 4 hours with not a peep. Sometimes I can get a little rambunctious with my fur friends, but a gentle redirection is all that is needed, I am so excited, but never mean. I calm down easily and also enjoy snuggle time. I love it outside and like to explore in the fenced yard. I am going potty on the pads by the door like a champ and catching on to the "potty outside?" really well. I do scratch at the door to go out but sometimes just to play. I sleep in my own bed all night next to FM's side of her bed, or a crate is ok too. I do just fine at home alone with my fur friends when FM has to leave us for a while. I am just blossoming into a very happy girl and I would love my very own family who can share in all of my new experiences! Gentle older kids would be fine but little kiddos might not understand how tiny I am and I could easily be dropped or get stepped on. Please comment below if you'd like to meet me!
