Meet our July Spotlight, Kaycie! Kaycie has been a dedicated counselor to your pups on both a full time and part time basis for the past 2 years! Her kind nature shines through in everything she does, from caring for the dogs to supporting her coworkers. Always honest and dedicated to the task at hand, she works hard to keep the day running smoothly. Plus, her amazing talent for capturing precious moments of our furry friends in photos during their enrichment sessions makes her an incredible part of our CBW Pack! Let's give a round of a-paws to Kaycie for her pawsome dedication!! 🐕👏

When Eva arrived at the care of Paws Humane, their rescue team quickly found Eva had an old fracture in her elbow and was unable to use her affected leg. To relieve her pain she required amputation. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation was able to provide a medical grant for Eva’s medical care and we are so happy to see she’s healed up well and continues to be her happy and loving self. 💛

There *is* some truth to the belief that dogs are a good judge of character. Research has shown through their keen sense of smell and skilled read on human body language and cues, dogs will sometimes use that information to form an opinion of a person. A dog's sense of smell is 1000 times stronger than humans. These heightened senses allow dogs to smell the pheromones that evoke the human mood which also helps dogs pick up good and bad behaviors of a human.
