Due to COVID-19, we are continuing to see curbside appointments only. As usual, we do not offer any walk-in or urgent care services.
If you need to pick up patient medications or retail items, please call the clinic to place your order. We will then call you to notify you when it is ready for pick up at the clinic. We ask that you stay in your vehicles when picking up your medications. Once you have arrived give us a call to let us know you are here. We will take the payment over the phone and bring the medications or retail items out to you. At this time we are offering veterinary services and appointments via telephone. For more information or if you are in need of curbside assistance please call the clinic at 360-257-2001.

Due to COVID-19, the lobby of the NAS Whidbey Island Veterinary Treatment Facility remains closed. At this time we are offering veterinary services and appointments via telephone consultations, as well as curbside assistance for immediate patient assessments and medication delivery. We are currently supporting the following needs for pet owners: health certificates, prescription medications, and wellness appointments for patients that fall into a vulnerable situation such as juvenile immunization boosters or upcoming travel. For more information or if you are in need of curbside assistance please call the clinic at 360-257-2001.

04/17/2020

Thank you for being a valued patron of the NAS Whidbey Island VTF. We continue to remain closed to the public, but in an effort to provide for the medical needs of our patients, as well as keep our clients and staff as safe as possible, we will be offering a limited number of curbside appointments with the following restrictions:

- Our priority for care continues to be our Military Working Dog population and our other government-owned animals.

- Our next priority for care will be those pets requiring health certificates for international travel, including the lab work necessary for those health certificates.

- We will also see those juvenile patients that are receiving their initial series of immunizations. To delay those immunizations jeopardizes their safety.

- As a public health measure we will also see those patients requiring updated rabies immunizations.

To keep our clients and staff as safe as possible we request that you remain in your car for these appointments. One of our staff will come out to your car, collect the history and reason for your visit, and bring your pet into the clinic. The doctor will complete their consult over the phone, discussing any procedures that were performed and answering any additional questions. Payment will be made via credit card over the phone with our receptionist.

We understand that this is not ideal, and when our public health authorities have deemed it safe to do so, we will gradually expand our services with the intent of returning to business as usual as soon as possible. In the meantime, we will do our best to support the needs of you and your pets.

We will not be offering any walk-in services, including retail purchases. If you need to pick up patient medications please call the clinic to place your order, before driving to the clinic, as we will only be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We will then call you to notify you when it is ready for pick up at the clinic. We ask that you stay in your vehicles when picking up your medications. Once you have arrived give us a call at 360-257-2001 to let us know you are waiting. We will take payment over the phone and coordinate transfer of the medication.

We ask that you please stay home if you or anyone in your family is feeling ill or been exposed to COVID 19.

We thank you for your understanding and felixibility during this time! Once we have any new information we will ensure to post it here on our page.

Good Morning All!

We are finding that most online pharmacies are telling our clients that it’s going to be at least two weeks to get them their pet’s meds. So if your pet needs medications please put in the request early! That way your pet won’t run out while you’re waiting for your refills to arrive.

The NAS Whidbey Island Veterinary Treatment Facility will be closed until further notice.

In an effort to protect both beneficiaries and veterinary staff during the COVID-19 outbreak, the NAS Whidbey Island VTF is currently taking proactive steps that enhances social distancing per Force Health Protection guidance, as well as the centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance.

In light of the continued COVID-19 risk, we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our beneficiaries and staff. We will not be open or seeing appointments at this time. We understand the impact this may have and apologize for any inconvenience this causes for you or your pet. For urgent pet medication refills please contact us on our page or email us at [email protected].

We understand the impact this may have for you or your family. We will continue to keep you informed and provide the best possible care as we work together during this challenging time.

03/19/2020

Unfortunately, our clinic will be closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 concerns. We are doing our best to call everyone and alert them that their appointments are being cancelled.

We understand that many of you will need prescriptions filled for your pets during the time that we are closed. Please email the clinic at [email protected] or contact us on our page as we will be unable to monitor our phone lines while we’re closed.

If you weren’t able to call in your prescriptions in time, you can still email or message us on FB (as some of us will still have access to our online record system) so that we can call in and verbally OK prescriptions over the phone to the pharmacy of your choice. Local pharmacies usually have a drive up option, and online pharmacies should still be able to ship to your door.

We understand the difficulties and concerns that this poses to a lot of our valued clients... please don’t hesitate to message us on FB or email us to let us know what your concerns are to see if we can help develop a solution for you and your fur babies. We will continue to update this page as updates become available.

Thank you so much for your understanding and flexibility during this time as we do our part to flatten the curve. We truly appreciate you and everything you do. Stay safe and healthy❣️

03/18/2020

Thank you for being a valued patron of the NAS Whidbey Island VTF. Due to COVID-19 precautions we are making changes to our daily clinic schedule. We are currently only seeing medically necessary appointments for urgent or susceptible patient populations (like puppies who have naive immune symptoms and need their vaccines). We are doing our best to call patients and alert them if their appointments are being cancelled through Friday March 20th. We will update you all on Friday with any changes or updates that we have.

If you need to pick up patient medications please drive to the clinic, however we ask that you stay in your vehicle. Once you have arrived give us a call at 360-257-2001 to let us know. Once we have a minute we will check you out and bring the medications to you.

We aks that you please stay home if you or anyone in your family is feeling ill or been exposed to COVID 19.

We thank you for your understanding and felixibility during this time! Once we have any new information we will ensure to post it to our page.
