Last hognose clutch of the year had an awesome surprise in it. I bred an Arctic lavender het albino to a super conda axanthic female. Got the male from JMG and I produced the female. To@my surprise 9 of the babies appear axanthic. Checked with to see if he had axanthic in his lavender animals and he said he has never crossed the two morphs. But yet he we are with axanthic babies. Great way to finish the hognose season. Random ass music by the way.
Next to the last clutch of hogs for the season. This was the double clutch from a supposed pair of double het storm clouds. 3 clutches in 2 years 30+ babies and not a single axanthic to be seen. Made a few sables however and quite a few have strange head markings. So this project has pretty much hit a stop for me. Kinda a bummer as storm clouds are one of my favorite morphs.
Nice double clutch from Arctic het sable x dbl het sunburst. Some great looking babies nice and plump.
Been a little MIA for a bit due to work and all the new babies. Here are my last two clutches to hatch out. First up are from a Mojave bumblebee puzzle het hypo to a pastel genetic stripe to make some nice double poss triple hets for future breedings. Next up is from a fire puzzle to a pastel chocolate yellow belly girl. Yellow belly puzzles are some of my favorite puzzle combos. VERY random song
Nice small clutch from this first time girl. Extremely long odds to hit everything but you just never know. Pastel chocolate triple het hypo/DG/pied cross the same.
Janis and the kiddos are gonna be holding down the fort for me today at the in Pomona, CA. She packed everything up for me and said we have too many snakes and she’s gonna be making deals all day long so she has less to put away. So come check us out and give a snake it’s new forever home!!!!

Think I can write this girl off as not being a dbl het stormcloud. 2 years and 20 or so eggs she has yet to show me an axanthic baby. She HAS made me some very different looking babies though and a couple nice sables. I do still have 10 eggs still incubating from her 2nd clutch due to hatch in about 5 weeks.
Finally hatched some sunbursts of my own!! I have been wanting to get one as they are kinda what brought me back into the hognose world. Kinda just felt like hatching my own would feel better. And it certainly did. Even made an Arctic sunburst in there as well.
Pretty much gave up on this girl actually being a girl. She is fairly small for a female and never seemed interested in a male at all. Never looked gravid or acted gravid. But yet here we are. Should make some nice double het mercury babies in about 55 days. Some more random music.
When you have an empty rack you go ahead and hose it down. This is actually the second rack I’ve hosed today. Taking advantage of the show animals still being in the displays at the moment.

Picked off 2 more clutches last night. A not so good clutch from a snow het scaleless female bred with a male triple het snow/scaleless male. Lots of infertile eggs and half a dozen good ones buried in her egg box. Next up is a pied poss leopard female bred with a hypo clown and a fire puzzle males. I’d be happy either with either male fathering this clutch.

Pretty stoked for this clutch. This is a Spotnose het clown girl that I hatched a half a dozen years ago. With her first breeding I made hypos in the clutch. Did a repeat pairing the following year and produced more hypos. So I bred her with a hypo Spotnose chocolate banana het clown in hopes of making some hypo dark knights. She gave me 10 good eggs to hopefully hit that goal. And another random song !!!!
Perfect wrap from this girl this morning. 7 eggs from a first time mom. She is a pastel yellow belly chocolate x fire puzzle male. Gotta build a puzzle army. Just some more random music.
The hognose hatching season begins today. Still waiting on a few more girls to lay but this baby is here now. Looks to be at least a sable but won’t know more till it fully comes out. Great way to start the hognose year!!! P.S. another random song on my suggested music list.
Caught the tail end of this girls ovulation. It wasn’t the biggest ovulation but it was good sized for her. She is a pastel chocolate quad het pied/DG/Albino/Hypo bred to a male that is the same. P.S. I have no idea what this music is.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. First time girl laid 8 slugs, these 4 and there was even a ruptured egg in her lay box. Hopefully I can get her weight back up and her second clutch is better.
One more clutch down here at the compound. Couple of pics showing mom with the eggs and then their home for the next 2 months while they grow in the eggs. This was a Spotnose clown het hypo bred to a pastel stripe female.
She finally gave them up. She was 14 days passed her pre lay shed which always making me nervous as she was egg bound last year and I had to assist with getting her eggs out. Such a relief to see she laid them in her own this year. 11 big eggs from an arctic lavender het albino x striped conda het coral.
Another awesome clutch for the year. This first time mom dropped me 7 big pearly whites all with good veins in them. She is a butter Enchi ghost bred with a pastel spider Mojave puzzle het ghost.
Only took her a day to drop all of hers. 16 total (she laid one more later on) from an Arctic albino het sable male to a female double het albino/sable and 50% het axanthic. 54ish days till I can hopefully hatch my own sunbursts.
Any day now and these 1 girls should be goving up the goods!!
Caught another big ovulation this evening. Can really see the swelling that goes on with these girls at this angle. She’s a leopard pied bred with both a hypo clown male and a fire puzzle male.
Caught a really nice ovulation the other day from a Spotnose dbl het hypo clown girl bred with a hypo banana chocolate Spotnose het clown boy. Hypo dark knights ought to be pretty sweet.
Got my first clutch of hognose snakes for the year. It’s a repeat pairing from last using an Artic Albino het sable male to an anaconda het sable poss het albino female. No albinos in last years clutch but my favorite baby from last year came from this pairing. Hopefully I can get some sunbursts or at least albinos to prove this girl.
Egg season has finally started over here. Should get a steady flow of eggs for the next few months. Have a lot of cool pairings this season. Hoping to hatch a few double recessives as well as triple recessives later this year. But this clutch here should hopefully yield some desert ghost pied combos. 8 eggs from this first time girl.
Pretty ovulation from this hypo Enchi butter girl bred with a pastel Mojave puzzle het hypo. She’s a nice big girl so hoping for a few holdbacks on this one.
Caught the end of this girls ovulation. Nice albino pied girl hatched a few years ago.
