Congratulations to Kim and Seamus! High in Trial Novice division out of 35 plus dogs! Hard work and dedication definitely paid off! Let’s see some more blues! They are in Texas competing in the Australian Shepherd Nationals, but they live right here in Southern California. Willow is also at the show, good luck the rest of the week!!!

Remembering all of the heroes and 4-legged heroes…💝🐾

This is “Sirius” he was a PAPD K-9 Explosive Detection Dog.
He served during 9/11 at the World Trade Center. David Lim (who was the K-9s Officer) was in his office with Sirius in Tower II, when they felt the first plane slam into Tower I. David needed to go do his job and help injured people.
He took the time to put Sirius in his kennel, to go see the disruption. He told Sirius “I’ll be back for you”.

While helping David became stuck in the stairwell along with firefighters for several hours.

After the North Tower collapsed, his “first instinct was to find Sirius”.
Once he got there it was all rubble and inaccessible. He was rushed into an ambulance and brought to St. Vincent hospital for “sustained injuries from the collapse”.

Unfortunately Sirius did not make it, “his remains were recovered in the winter of 2002 in the wreckage of the South Tower”

He was removed from Ground Zero with a full honor guard, in a manner benefiting a “hard-working member of the PAPD”

He was believed to be the only Canine to die in the attack of the World Trade Center.

Our hearts go out to everyone involved in 9/11 and the lives lost ❤️‍🩹

May those who were lost, K-9s, Firefighters, Officers, the people in the WTC & the people who were on board the hijacked planes
MAY YOU ALL REST IN PEACE 🕊️

Super fun dog show day yesterday! Kimberlyn really wanted to go so I said yes, it was Mother’s Day so what a better way to spend the day than with my daughter. We even talked grandma into coming! Very early morning… brought home some great wins and it was all good positive experiences for T**a! I loved being in the ring with Kimmy she did AMAZING!

Great day yesterday getting back out in the ring. T**a T**a brought home a Best in Breed Puppy! In her first ever show. But most importantly she wasn’t afraid of anything she encountered! Happy dance!!!

Kimberlyn also got to run around the ring! She showed Powell who was thrilled to be back in action! She brought home two Reserve Best in Show Juniors!

Tessie!!! Congratulations!!! You went out to a show, watched the other dogs, got invited to show and came home with a best in show puppy! All these things are just adding to your piggy bank! So proud of you and your parents (dog and human) She is probably not going to be a “regular” show dog but the amazing thing is she went out and had fun, with no fear! I wish I would have been there to cheer her on! Puppy Culture for the win! Huge thank you to Susi for taking her around the ring!

If you have purchased the Irish Rover Advent Calendar from Costco please stop feeding these treats immediately! It has come to our attention there is an issue with this product. Unfortunately we are seeing affected pets through our emergency services this evening and wanted to share this information as soon as possible to hopefully prevent further incidences.
Costco and Irish Rover are contacting pet owners directly to indicate that the product does not meet their standards as there have been reports of dogs becoming ill following ingestion of these treats.
Symptoms reported thus far include:

🔺 Decreased Appetite
