This is Buddy! 🐾 Our team is especially proud of him. Over the course of 8 Happy Visits, we’ve been preparing him for his upcoming annual exam. Buddy is incredibly smart but can be nervous and cautious around new people.

It took three visits just to earn his trust enough to be touched. At his last visit, Jo tossed him some hotdogs, but Buddy wasn’t quite ready. After some time, Jo tried again—Buddy not only let her touch him, but he also sat on command and even offered his paw multiple times! Turns out, hotdogs are the key to his heart.🌭🐾

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the Jack and Jill City of the Lakes Chapter for a special “Vets for a Day” experience at Hometown Veterinary Partners! We started by reading Dr. Cherice Roth’s inspiring books, “What Does a Real Doctor Look Like?” and “What is a Real Doctor?”, and then our young visitors suited up in their white coats to practice physical exams on Dr. Abi’s dog Siri, our resident canine helper. We had help from vet students at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine too! It was a fantastic day full of learning and fun—thank you for spending it with us!

Lilly came to us with a rare condition that prevented her from closing her mouth. Her family chose us when their regular veterinarian couldn't fit her in, and we were able to see her the same day the issue began.

After just two weeks of treatment, Lilly regained full functionality of her mouth.

We’re incredibly grateful to her family for trusting us with her care and thrilled to see Lilly is doing so well!

We were thrilled to meet Emmy, the Aamodt family’s new puppy! 🐾💕 This beautiful, bouncy girl recently visited us and filled our day with joy and energy—just as she’s brought so much happiness to her family.

A few months ago, the family reached out to us when it was time to say goodbye to their beloved dog, Jetta. We understand how difficult these moments are, which is why we provide in-home peaceful passing services, allowing families to say goodbye in the comfort of their home.

Meet our Hometown Hero... Ry-Leigh! ⭐🏆

We believe every pet deserves the best care, no matter the circumstances.

This belief was put into action when Ry-Leigh, an 11-year-old Labrador, came to us in desperate need. Ry-Leigh had a severe gastrointestinal obstruction, and his owner had reached out to several clinics and decided to turn to us. We were determined to help Ry-Leigh.

Within 48 hours, Ry-Leigh's risky surgery was completed by Dr. Abi, an experienced surgeon at our Hometown Veterinary Partners Silver Lake hospital.

Ryleigh’s owner reached out and shared, “Ry-leigh is doing wonderful, spirit is back, and he is taking meds well. We’re extremely happy with the care he received and how he is doing now.”

Ry-Leigh’s fight and determination is why we’ve chosen him for our Hometown Hero of the Month. We’re so grateful to have the collaboration between our sister Minnesota hospitals and teams and to have been part of his journey to recovery.

Yesterday was Puppy Day at Silver Lake! 🐾 Our team had the joy of welcoming three adorable families for their first visits: 1. Vida and Bala, with Bala looking like a mini version of Vida—but don't be mistaken, Vida is the queen of the roost! 👑 2. Leela and her pups, who got some TLC from Michaela and Dr. Paige. 🐶❤️ 3. Sunny, Koda, Otto, Nellie, and Bear, who were an absolute delight for Dr. Abi and Michaela. They were so cute, even Dr. Paige had to stop by to say hi! 🥰 #dogsofinstagram #puppy #puppylove #veterinarian #veterinary

We want to give a special shoutout to Sally, who is celebrating her last cancer treatment today. When we asked if she would ring the bell to mark this milestone, Sally told us that her hospital no longer follows this tradition. Dr. Abi and our team decided to create a special moment for her instead. We surprised Sally by letting her ring the bell at our front desk, surrounded by cheers and applause. Thank you for visiting us, Sally. We're cheering you on every step of the way!
