I am looking for advice or recommendations but mostly help in regards to a stray dog we found. He really is the sweetest thing and I really want to do the right thing but animal control advised that I just let him go, which I couldn’t believe.
I posted him on Facebook/Nextdoor/Reddit and found out that someone had originally found him a week ago around Briggsmore/Claus area and they had to eventually let him go/he escaped (they weren’t clear) and somehow, he made it into my grandfather’s neighborhood (Oakdale/Orangeburg)
If I could shelter him I would but I am not allowed to have dogs and I had to beg my grandfather to keep him in his backyard but the man is 88 and walks with a cane and although the dog is super sweet and has not jumped on anyone despite how happy he is to see everyone, he can not stay there. I have asked everyone I know and I am desperate as I do not want to just let him go and get hit by a car or something.
The people that found him originally had him checked for a chip, and he did not have one. He appears to NOT be neutered. He has a very sweet calm demeanor although I have not seen him around other animals/children so I can’t attest to that. I work in Lodi 40+ hours a week but I have someone that could transport him anywhere that will take him, or at the very least can find someone. He sits on command and sweetly took a treat from my hand.

Both kittens appear to be females and approximately 10-12 weeks old.
They were very skittish when I first found them, but are now very loving and cuddly.
They are very playful. I have them temporarily secured in my back yard large catio.
But I can’t keep them, as I already have four cats who are very territorial and spray when they are angry or jealous of each other.
I also have a large Shepherd who is very aggressive to stray animals.
So I am desperately seeking a rescue ASAP.

Moo Moo, Bella, Joey and Zoey are 5.5 month old terrier mixed puppies looking for loving homes. Despite having spent the majority of her life in the shelter/rescue, sweet Iris is all smiles. She’s the last of her litter looking for love. She is a 3 month old Shepherd mix who is current on vaccines and preventatives, is microchipped and is scheduled for spay! She’s great with cats and dogs, is working on potty training and is a dream in the car and on a leash. (209)604-2649 to adopt!

We have a stray puppy that jumped into my daughter’s car on a busy road when she stopped to see where he went so she wouldn’t hit him. This happened on July 30th. We took him to a vet to see if he was chipped - he was not. He had a collar but no tags.
The vet’s office said they would submit the proper paperwork to the shelter. We put him on Facebook, instagram, lost pets, anywhere we could think of. No one has stepped forward to claim him. We have taken him in but we have no intention of keeping him for various reasons.
As far as we can tell he is a red-speckled stumpy tail Australian cattle dog. He is probably 5-6 months old, unaltered and unvaccinated. He weighed about 25 pounds on July 30th. Soooo handsome, so smart, and cuddly. He is ready to learn and does so, quickly. He will make an incredible pet for someone that is willing to put the time in with him. And he deserves that.
I want him to go to a good home.

The weaning process is always an interesting one. We are proud of Pinball. She appears to have Cerebellar hypoplasia, a developmental condition in which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. (The condition is not painful or contagious.)
