Last week someone one brought in two dogs to stay at our kennel. It was spring break and our kennel was Full. The two dogs were in stimulus overload from all the barking, and the customer made other arrangements because of this. This saddened me, not because they left, but because our kennel caused stress on those two dogs. I knew we had to make changes... The Where, what, and how to change I did not know. So I spent several days searching for answers. I found help on AKC's website, a program called Fear Free Pets. I enrolled in this program and finished it last night. We will be making changes in our kennel soon. It cant happen over night, but it will be an on-going progress. The three rules we have for R n R Kennel and Klip is.
1. The safety and well being of the dogs in our care.
2. The safety of the people working in the kennel.
3. The safety of the customers.
The best reviews we get are not from humans. It's when a dog gets excited when they arrive.

This morning the wife and I were enjoying our coffee. Listening to the wind blowing as we relaxed in front of a nice warm fire. This is when we were blessed, we witnessed the North American Couch Hippo Migration.

I don't understand the reason for the migration, but for some reason our 3 English Mastiffs will simultaneously rise from their slumber. Get down from their perch on the couch's. Then crawl back onto the couch and lay in the warm spot that was previously occupied by a different dog. Within seconds all three Mastiffs would start snoring. As if the migration didn't happen.

Just finished an amazing class on Pet First Aid and CPR from Pet Tech. I was an instructor for FA, CPR, & AED for people from 3 different organizations. What I learned from Pet Tech surpasses what I learned from the other 3 combined.

I will be setting up classes in the near future.
