Yesterday Ace turned 12 years old. He was treated to some special birthday retrieves.

Why do you need a dog? So you don’t have to swim the canal when the pheasant sails to the other bank. Serious this is my favorite retrieve of Rey’s career so far! You don’t get a water retrieve on a pheasant very often.
Pup and bird boy in training. Not a bad retrieve and not a bad little bird boy for our youngest! The kiddos get paid more for their chores if they throw birds and bumpers for me, looks like we need to add someone else to the payroll! 🤣
This was Rey’s second mark on the final series. She crushed the first series but took her time here on the last mark 🤣

We got some good water work in today. This is only our second time working on casting in the water.
We were able to do some water retrieves with Rey today. The resident geese weren’t too happy but thankful Owen was there to keep them away 🤣
