Zoe loves coming for her treatments. As a retired racing dog, she has chronic back pain which we treat with acupuncture, laser, and massage. She is so sweet and tolerant during her sessions and always leaves with a pep in her step. We enjoy her visits so much and we think she feels the same. 🧡

AT LONG LAST! The moment we've all been waiting for!

Dr. Rosa is now officially certified in Integrative Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine! 🎊

She is now able to offer post-surgical rehab services , photobiomodulation, and electrotherapy in addition to the services she already provides. This is a huge step for us and we are so proud of her.

Even the happiest of pets can be experiencing pain. Sometimes it's hard to identify if you don't know what to look for. Miss Lucy here is a bright and smiley girl, but has a history of discomfort in her lumbar spine. She does amazing for her treatments and we swear her smile gets even bigger when she leaves. 🥰

Peanut here is approximately 14.5 years old and has many orthopedic issues. She has been treated regularly over the past few months by Dr. Rosa and we have come to adore her. Miss Peanut is a sensitive girl and does best when sitting in Dr. Rosa's lap during her sessions. She is such a sweet soul. 💕

You've probably seen these blue mats before. They're called balance mats and help patients with orthopedic deficits improve their stability and strength. You'll be seeing a lot more of this tool being used in the future, as we will be focusing on IRPM more often!

The other case we will be highlighting over the coming weeks is Adira. She is also a 7 year old, female spayed, Chihuahua mix! At age 3, she was adopted and diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) and was paralyzed in her rear legs due to an unknown injury that occurred when she was with her previous owner. She was not a surgical candidate and it was recommended that she be euthanized since it was unlikely that she would ever be able to walk.

Adira has been seeing Dr. Rosa since 2022 and has made amazing strides toward recovery and a normal life! She has gained an incredible amount of mobility back and is able to run and jump - something no one thought would be possible for her!

Lately, we've been trying something called NMES or Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation. This modality is designed to stimulate the muscles to contract by using electrical impulses.

For the next few weeks, we will be highlighting 2 special cases. The first of which is Honey. She is a 7 year old, female spayed, Chihuahua mix. By the age of 5, she had bilateral MPL (medial patellar luxation), bilateral stifle joint osteoarthritis, and full CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) tear on her left leg. She underwent surgery to fix the left side, but not the right.

Her quality of life is fantastic, but she seems painful from time to time. Dr. Rosa works with her on her bad days and performs Medical Acupuncture, Therapeutic Laser, Massage Therapy, and something called IRPM (Integrative Rehabilitation & Physical Medicine).

We will be introducing and explaining more about what IRPM is and how it can change the way you look at your pet's pain and overall well-being. Stay tuned!
