Ace is still with us. We have not found the perfect home for him. Ace is a 7 month old, neutered Pittie that was surrendered to us due to having to move out of state. He lived with young children and is good with cats and dogs. He would make an amazing family dog.

Our lives and hearts are shattered and we need time to process this loss and heal before we can share more. Know that he gained his wings without pain or fear. Good byes are rough, more so when the human is the one leaving. Today we completed our final pet sit here in The SCM. Thanks to all of our amazing clients and their humans. It’s been an honor to clean your p**p, scratch your butts, hide your pills and calm your people. To the humans… thank you for letting us into your circle of trust💜 Not gonna lie, I cried a little. Until we meet again….

Happy Birthday to the smartest dog I have ever met!!! I am a stand in for Mom and Dad for a few days…. But couldn’t let the day pass without a song and a celebration!!!!

This morning Shy Little Dog finally joined us for breakfast with me in the same room! She joyfully joined our morning walkies and even stopped by my lap for a momentary hello before taking up her station on the couch close to me!!!! This is a huge breakthrough for us! It’s our last day with these two and couldn’t be happier to be ending our stay on such a positive note!!!

8 month old half Great Dane half Husky - taller than me when she is up on her hind legs …. Dogs this large…. Well… sometimes you just let them sit on your head and lick you…. Especially when you are trying to convince the shy dog behind you that you are not a threat!!!

Day 3… trust is growing. The little timid pup is finally sharing the livingroom with us after two days of hiding in a back bedroom!!! I am even accepted next to her and she is taking treats from my hand now!!! Baby steps! Don’t force it and don’t give up!!!

Day 3… Little Nori finally trusts enough to come out of the back bedroom and join us in the living room! Maybe tomorrow I will be allowed to sit next to her in the same couch!!! Progress!!!

It may seem as if we only care for cats of the black hue based on our current clientele… I admit, I do have a huge weakness for the dark ones especially with those big yellow eyes!! This girl has extra toes too!

We are staying with this little girl for the first time this weekend and she’s just not sure about it yet…. We go at her pace which means sitting in the hallway and talking to her while petting and playing with her sisters to show her we are ok. We started by tossing a treat close to her and leaving the room…. Giving her time. Today is day 2… she took a treat from my hand this morning and came out to the living room for a few minutes before heading back to the security of the bedroom! Hopefully by tomorrow she will hang out with all of us in the common areas! Slow but sure wins the race!

Archer was born with deformities in his front paw, has overcome hind end injuries and has been diagnosed with Cushing Disease- he has challenges with his mobility, insatiable thirst and an insanely overactive bladder… and he loves having his chin and belly rubbed in exchange for his daily meds…. We love your babies like they’re our own!!!
