How our program works

Overview
Puppies are picked up between 9-10am Monday -Friday by our loving trainer Karin. They get:

9am-3pm positive training
Twice daily supervised playtime with their classmates
Lots of love and cuddles
Potty Parties for every successful attempt
Daily training & socialization field trips

We train in a home-based environment for your puppy’s comfort, your peace of mind, and great results when your puppy returns home. Tuition
3 week Puppy Day School program: $2,000 all inclusive

Location
From her home base in Oakland, Karin travels for pick-up and drop-off to these cities: Oakland, Alameda, Piedmont, Berkeley, Emeryville, Orinda, Moraga, Lafayette, San Leandro, Hayward, and San Lorenzo.

progress. This is seriously slow going. I keep thinking now that everything is cut and arranged, I'll be able to just sew it together and start quilting it/ finish, but my bobbin thread gets tangled, or my top thread breaks. Today I sewed 7 pieces together and that took about 2 hours.

my poppy is coming along with a lot of cussing and troubles with the machine I *just* had serviced. 11 days to finish and bind it before the deadline.

Well, it's not exactly an ice cream soda quilt, but I'm quite happy with my progress. I think I'm going to make the eyeballs between the main blocks be 3/4" hexies. I'm using a zigzag stitch bc I really don't care if you can see my stitching.

I think I have just about everything cut. Now on to sewing. Rather than English paper piecing, I'm using my machine and a satin stitch. Stitches that show? I just can't care.

Day 4 of this . I've finished the middle sashing for 4.5 of the 9 blocks and have sewed together 1 block. More and more I find myself wishing I just had solids, or shot cotton. The messiness of the crumbs does not appeal to me. Background will be the same color as the grey/purple sashing.

Day 3. using leftover swiss cheese fabric from my . I've finished enough of the large squares and their sashing for 4 of the total 9 blocks. It's not very enjoyable. Perhaps this is just the slog of finishing a started project?

I've decided to make every quilt pattern I own into a quilt one by one from start to finish. Here's number 1. I started yesterday and have already learned a few things. Crumb quilting is actually pretty wasteful if you use heat n bond bc you need fabric under the sticky. Also wasteful if you use fusible interfacing bc then you have to buy more interfacing just to deal with all the little bits. So, I've decided that I'm only willing to make a if the pieces of fabric are at least 1" wide. This means I can anything smaller and have pretty dirt in my garden!

Finished is better than perfect.
I gotta say, as much fun as designing the blocks has been, the actual sewing is so tedious. I wish I could make a few bucks a month just designing. Considering Textile Design classes at CCA here in Oakland

It's good to see that when I run the image through a paint palette with only the colors I'm allowed to use, it's pretty much a hot mess and unreadable anyways.

10 hours or so of working on this. Maybe more. I'm still dissatisfied with how it's progressing. Limited pallette. Brief states that you can use other threads, paints or beads as long as you stay on palette and accentuate the suede nature of their fabrics. I'm trying to use the dark gray in place of the purple. It's not really reading well though. This is a very frustrating project.

Monk and Bodie are best friends and really excellent play partners! They take turns when wrestling, and playing chase and they self regulate play breaks.
