Meet Samantha! 💕

She is 8 years old and arrived to Rabbit Ears in the fall of 2016. 🙁 She has been here TOO long.
She is a beautiful, mellow & loving senior bunny.
She loves treats, salads and to receive pets! 🥰 She is friendly and gentle.
She has mobility issues and therefore needs carpet or something with traction under her feet. We don't know why she is still here, and can only think that the 'all black' or 'all white' bunnies get overlooked.

Saturday Nov 2nd in Richmond CA for those in financial need. Open to the public.

Tomorrow, November 2nd, from 12-3 pm, our monthly rabbit essentials pantry will be open at our facility in Richmond, California. Every first Saturday of the month, we have essential rabbit supplies available to the public on a limited first-come, first-served basis. Items that may be available include carriers, litter boxes, litter pellets, hay, food pellets, x-pens, and a limited selection of toys.

The pantry is open to Bay Area residents in need due to financial difficulties, no proof of household income required. We also welcome anyone who has found a dumped domestic rabbit in their neighborhood and needs the supplies to care for the rabbit while rehoming them.

If you would like to support the HRS rabbit essentials pantry, you can donate at houserabbit.org/donate. In the comment box, please specify you would like your donation to be for the pantry. We also accept in-kind donations of items for the pantry. Food and litter items must be unopened, and other items should be lightly used and able to be sanitized. Thank you so much for your support!

Meet Coffee Bean and Paprika!

Coffee Bean and Paprika are a mother-daughter pair; Paprika was recently born at the rescue. Coffee Bean is curious and comes readily to the door when she thinks there are treats to be had. Paprika is a dynamic ball of spice who likes to sit on top of her hide and survey the world.

Adopt a Senior Rabbit!

-Senior Bunnies are often more relaxed than younger bunnies, less destructive and easier to hold. 💕
-They tend to be easier to bond with another bunny, as they’re looking for a quiet life.
-Having bunny friends helps with age related conditions, such as keeping eyes and ears clean, and moral support.
No bunny wants to spend their senior years alone. When they need the love of people and bunnies more than ever.
All our bunnies are spayed/ neutered and vaccinated.

Give a bunny a new lease of life, the older bunny gets their sparkle back!

Some older rabbits do not yet have additional care needs however at some point they might. Each older bunny we have for adoption will have notes on whether or not they currently have additional care needs.

Age is related to size and breed, however, we do not advertise a rabbit for adoption as a senior until 6+ years.

Meet Khloe! This beautiful friendly female rabbit was returned to us because her family didn't want her anymore. She has beautiful SOFT fur with flecks of grey throughout the white and brown. Look at those great whiskers! 🐇💕 She's litterbox trained, vaccinated and spayed. She loves salads and to be pet. She is used to living in a home.
