Dr. Stephen Galloway received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Poi
nt in 1986 and served as an officer in the US Army until 1991. He is proud to be a veteran, whose military awards include the Purple Heart Medal, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Master Parachutist Badge, and the Ranger Tab. Dr. Galloway received his DVM from North Carolina State Univeristy in 1996, and his area of professional interest is veterinary dentistry. He is a board certified specialist in Equine Dentistry and Orofacial Surgery. Dr. Galloway served as Chair of the Dentistry Committee for the American Association of Equine Practitioner (AAEP) in 2011 and is active in equine dental research and education. He has presented at veterinary continuing education meetings internationally and has taught veterinary students at several universities. Dr. Galloway was a member of the Executive Board of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association from 2005 through 2011, serving as President in 2010. He currently serves on the Tennessee Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and is Chair of the AAEP Scope of Practice Task Force. Dr. Galloway was recognized for his service to the veterinary profession as the "Practitioner of the Year" in 2012 by the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Assn. Dr. Galloway is a Scouter and a life member of the National Assn of Eagle Scouts.
