Having a rough night.....
Missing my girl 🥺🙏
💜💜 Another Phoebe Update 💜💜
Still no solid poops or much of anything. I've continued IV fluids again under the skin, pain meds and also giving her gas drops. She started eating some lettuce today while I was holding it for her and some nibbles of a strawberry! I've been able to syringe feed her a good amount of critical care, about 40 mls. The more I am caring for her, I am thinking this is definitely a stroke. She doesn't seem to be suffering and has her good moments. If we don't have any stools by Monday, I will call our vet to update! Shes has some discharge from her behind, but nothing I would expect with her food intake.
Please continue to keep sweet Phoebe in your thoughts, I am trying so hard for this sweet girl, she is a fighter!!!
Sweet baby is doing great! We brought her home when she was only about 8 days old. Many have asked why we didn't put her back. There was a nest of sparrows in the barn and 2 babies had fallen, 1 had passed. We placed the alert baby back in the nest with the other siblings. The next day when we came out, we found the baby had fallen again and sadly passed, I felt so guilty. I just knew the nest wasn't in a stable area. I was in the barn later in the day and heard a thud noise, looked behind myself and now saw a 3rd baby bird on the ground flapping on it's back!
I decided I wasn't going to put this baby back, there is NO WAY! I figured the only way this baby is going to survive will be if I bring him/her home! I finished up my to do list and headed home. Now we have baby Cheep Cheep who has been in my care for 11 days! By the looks of her, she is now about 18ish days old and confirmed a little girl! These little stinkers grow so fast and she has been so fun to raise, such a personality!!
Saving her life is so special to me 💜
💙💙Baby Bird Update💙💙
We shall call this little one, Cheep Cheep! Baby Cheep Cheep is doing great today! I've done more thorough research and found that they do require more protein than the Pigeons I've raised. I have introduced wet puppy food and crickets to Cheeps diet! At the barn this morning I heard more babies from the nest, I am certain this may be a case where a Cowbird may be in the nest. Cowbirds will lay an egg in an existing nest where the sparrow or other species will then care for it without realizing it's not their own young. The baby Cowbirds will then push the other young from the nest and even eggs if they haven't yet hatched. We will be keeping a close eye to make sure no more babies fall down. If the babies fall, we will do our best to save them of course, but don't want to further invade the nest.
Will keep everyone updated on our new feathered baby rescue! This little one may not be furry, but it still has feelings and a will to survive, so we will do the best we can!!
Hahaha, I swear.... I think I have a invisible sign on my forehead for animals saying, "she will save you"!
We had a nest of baby Sparrow birds at the barn. Yesterday we'd found two that had fallen, one parished. We placed the still alive baby in the nest after locating it where there was another sibling. When arriving today, sadly that baby had fallen again and passed away. While standing there, I heard another thunk noise. I looked back and said, DANGIT! The last baby fell from the nest, so I vowed to bring it home and rehab it. Once it is trained and prepped to go back into the wild, it will be released.
Welcome baby birdy 💜

🩵🩵BABY MATTHEW UPDATE🩵🩵
Sweet boy is officially 108 grams and continuing to grow overnight!! He is still the smallest of his siblings, but thriving quite well! He continues to scream at the top of his lungs when he os hungry and greets me at the end of his cage. Once I put my hand in the cage, he jumps full speed into my hands and tries climbing up my arms. This little fella means so much to me and I think he feels the same way about me. He has definitely taken over my sleep schedule and the entire household, lol! Sweet baby Matthew takes two 3ml syringes per feeding every 2 hours and eats on critical care afterward. This boy is going to be even more friendly than Tiny Tim which I didn't know was possible. Here is an adorable video from tonight after his formula while munching on critical care. I keep telling him he has to try to be a guinea pig and cannot be with me 24/7, haha!
🩵🩵BABY MATTHEW UPDATE🩵🩵
I'm EXHAUSTED!!! Baby Matthew has ME trained, lol! I've continued to feed Baby Matthew every 3 hours as he is getting a little bit of nursing from his moms, but not enough to thrive without my assistance. Baby Matthew scared me the last 24 hours as he wasn't passing stools, only urinating but that also confirmed he wasn't getting enough from his moms. We've finally got his bowels moving properly with all the extra yummies! Thankfully we had plenty of supplies on hand from when we nursed Tiny Tim, it's helped this sweet boy now. Baby Matthew screams for me every 3 hours like clock work, all night, all day, he demands his food and if very opinionated, haha!!! I will continue to keep everyone posted on this adorable boy. Here is an absolutely adorable video, cuteness overload!!!
The boys love their Vitamin C 💙💙
Tiny Tim LOVES his Poppa Pig ❤️
Teaching Poppa Pig to trust. He is Tiny Tim's cagemate as he came in as a solo which we were told was female, but in fact was a male. Tiny Tim needed a cagemate as he was too old to be with his sisters and adopted mommy's. Now Tiny Tim has a Poppa Pig and he loves him! Poppa Pig lets Tiny Tim crawl all over him, under him and between his legs. Here is an adorable video of these two during snuggles. I can tell Poppa Pig is so scared 😔❤️
Behind the scenes with Tiny Tim during our Valentine's Day photoshoot ❤️
Good morning from Bubbles 💜
She seems more vibrant and alert today. Her breathing seems to be better than it was yesterday, so I am certain the diuretics are working! I'm pretty certain she's in heart failure, but many pigs can live happily with the proper medications, heart failure doesn't always mean it's the end! Thankfully once seeing her, Dr. Gray knew immediately what we needed to try! I will be calling on Monday to see if we can schedule her an xray to confirm, so we can have her on the proper medications, but what we're doing seems to be helping! I'm happy to be a rescue where we don't just give up, we try as long as there is no suffering!
‼️‼️VET EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT‼️‼️
💥💥NEED DONATIONS NOW💥💥
Sadly after nearly two weeks of antibiotics, it seems Bubbles isn't getting any better. I called the vet immediately this morning after noticing her entire chin and stomach have a fluid like edema. I'm not exactly sure what is happening, but I am afraid it is not going to be good!! I cannot let this sweet girl suffer and we were told to bring her in at 2:20PM TODAY!!! We need funds NOW!!!! Please send donations as I am not certain what will happen or what the prognosis will be. I will continue to keep everyone update. She still has an appetite, she's drinking, but she looks miserable, my poor baby 😔🙏😪
