Solid Horses make a strong Lesson program
Grand National Rodeo
Filly jumped in as a queen horse to help the Gilroy Queen after her horse unexpectedly passed away. Iām thankful to have such amazing lesson horses who can jump into the many hats and cart any kid, adult around. ā¤ļø
Using a game with beanbags in our beginning show team practice last night to remind our riders where their bodies should be!
It takes a special horse to be part of a lesson program, all our horses are amazing, and put up with all the kid fun! When we try new lesson horses we get them used to anything a kid could possibly do. This is thunder I have had this special boy since he was 2 and heās a trickster. He turned into a horse slide. šā¤ļøšš¤

Horseback riding lessons are excellent for developing balance, muscle and motor skills, but did you also know theyāre also great for...
- Learning to focus, developing listening skills and practicing self control
- Learning not to give up when something is challenging
- Building self confidence and getting over fears
- Responsibility, hard work and learning to have respect for horses that we have the privilege of riding
- Learning to be aware of our bodies and our emotions (horses are extremely sensitive to our emotions, they can even hear our heartbeats and read our facial expressions!) š“
