Good afternoon!
It’s with great sadness that we are announcing, after 18 amazing years, our sweet Alexis will be working her last day at Oakwood Animal Hospital tomorrow, Saturday December 30th. Our clients know Alexis for the light she brings to Oakwood’s front desk and the impact she’s had on so many people. We cannot express the depth in which we will miss her and wish her the best as she continues to work alongside Dr. Kurt at SurgiPet in Buford. Please feel free to stop by tomorrow, or give us a call, to say goodbye on her last day! Thank you Alexis for 18 incredible years, we will miss you!!

Today is National Pet Memorial Day. Pets play an important role in our lives. Not only are they companions, but pets become part of the family, too. 💕

When we lose a beloved pet, the pain is genuine. However, everyone mourns differently. Some pet parents plant a memorial. Others may create a stepping stone with a paw print, placing it in a garden. Still, others may create a tattoo of their pet’s paw print. These actions offer a tangible way to cope with their grief. 🐾

The day also offers an opportunity to remember the pets who’ve passed through our lives. Memories replace the empty space left by the loss of a cherished pet! 🐶😺🦜🐠🐴
