We sent out an email to each of our six waiting list families, letting them know that we' re planning to begin the matching process with our current litters next Monday, November 25th. We hope to work through the list quickly and efficiently so that everyone can relax and enjoy their Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family, and not have to worry about missing an email from us. If the process is slower than anticipated, we will take a break for Thanksgiving and Black Friday, and will resume contacting families on the morning of Saturday, November 30th.

We have heard from one of our families who indicated they are going to wait for the next round of babies due to holiday travel plans. That means we will have at least three kits remaining to be matched, but there could be more if other waiting list families decided to hold off. These little ones will be ready to place on or after December 10th (Henrietta's babies) and 13th (Penelope's babies).

If you are interested in adopting a Hot Cross Bun, please thoroughly complete the New Bunny Questionnaire on our website hotcrossbuns.org so we can begin getting you through our approval process. We're so excited to place these little ones with their loving forever families!

New pictures of Henrietta and Gumption's sextuplets! We see three lilac, two chocolate, and, perhaps, a chocolate tort. We've never had one of those before, so aren't certain just yet. If anyone who has has a chocolate tort before could let us know if we're headed in the right direction, we'd greatly appreciate it. All the babies are doing well and were urinating copiously during their photoshoot, hence the "wet look."

We forgot to share a post about these little cuties. They are Penelope's babies. (She also had a peanut and a stillborn.) They were born on Friday, October 18th. We originally thought the darker one was going to be a blue, but it looks darker now and appears to be a solid black cutie. We're not sure about the coloring of the other baby yet.

Henrietta and Gumption have a litter of SIX new babies! They were born yesterday and all of them look good, so far. We're hopeful she will be able to feed all of them easily, as we don't have any other new mamas to foster them, although we hope that will change in the next few days. Aren't they precious?

Theodosia joined her new family today! By all accounts she is settling in well and she is going to be given lots of time to settle in and quietly explore her new surroundings. Dozey's new family loves and respects animals and we know she will be given every opportunity to form a wonderful relationship with her new them. We are so excited with her placement. She waited for a year and a half following her spay to find the right family and she has been blessed with a very good one!

Country Road has an awesome new family! He has Reba and Jordan for his new Bun-Mom and Bun-Dad, and 5 year old Holland Lop doe Winry for his new sister/friend. Country was as excited as a very mellow Bun could be to be matched with them. We can't wait to hear how he loves his new life!

Thank you for participating in our Retired Bun Matching Event, Reba and Jordan, and for giving Country your love and devotion. It was great to meet you all!🥳🐰❤🥳

Genevieve has been matched!!!! We're so excited to share that Miss Genevieve has a new family! In a rather surprising turn of events, Olivia F, who was coming to meet Country Road, found that Genevieve's outgoing, busy-bunny personality was going to be a better fit for her life. We so enjoyed meeting with her and her dad, and loved watching Genevieve's sparkling confidence win them over. There is no doubt that we are going to miss Genevieve and her bigger-than-life personality, but we know she is going to love life as the pampered pet princess for which she has always demonstrated such a strong affinity.

We've taken some new pictures of our visiting Buns! These little cuties have been keeping us on our toes. Rosie (HCB's Victoria - broken orange) is a very independent girl with a very particular sense of how her world should be run. Basil (HCB's Dime, solid opal) is a sweet little guy who has a sensitive heart. Hamish (he's always been Hamish!) is the handsome solid harlequin who is in love with the lovely Sweet Pea, but tends to make the wrong decision when it comes to wooing her. Sweet Pea (HCB's Sweet Potato - tricolor) wants to win Hamish's affections, but only if he behaves like a proper gentleman. Hamish gets too excited and that makes Sweet Pea skittish, so she avoids him. When he minds his manners and settles down, they get along well. We think the smashed banana on the forehead trick might lead to mutual grooming and calmer behavior on Hamish's part.

Periwinkle, a lovely lilac spayed doe, has some new photos on her listing page and we have added an update to her description. This little doe shows signs of blossoming and coming out of her curmudgeonly shell! We so hope she continues to shed this label and becomes the sweetest little doe imaginable. We know she has it in her!
