Our first outing of the fall season was a fun one! It was baby horse power hour 🐣🍼

Brennan went down his first centerline and stayed in the arena! 🥳 he scored a 75.4 and 72.6 on his young horse tests, despite some baby horse protests about having to focus for a full 3 minutes 😂

Kathy’s lovely five year old Lea trotted down her first centerline (with a baby in her belly too none the less 🤰) and got herself a first and second place in First Level Test 3. She was nervous but settled as the weekend went on 💜

Mickey strutted his stuff at second level again winning both his classes. At home we are trying to figure out those pesky changes but he’s a fun horse to show so we joined in the fun!

Baby Dale joined as a non compete and had a super valuable learning weekend. We love showing at The Grand Oaks Resort with Orlando Dressage. It is such a smoothly run show and perfect for outings like this.

We are already excited for the next one! 💚💛

I don’t know how no one has snagged this lovely youngster 🌴

Excellent bloodlines, great brain, naturally uphill movement, comfortable, balanced and eager to please. He’s a clean slate with so much ahead of him. Easy for someone to bring along. Motivated 🥳

💚💛🌻 We made it through the night!! Horses did great- Lots of eating, drinking and pooping. All my barn modifications held up great so everyone was dry. Even the arena survived! We don’t have power but the back up battery from the solar system is working great. We have some power in the house and we have running water for the toilets and horses 🥳🥳so relieved 🌀⛈️

Sunflower Hill Farm is prepared for Hurricane Milton 🌀⛈️ thank you to everyone who has been checking in on us. We have plenty of feed, water and bedding. Horses are safe in the barn and everyone has been really quiet 🩷

We still have power. I will continue to update everyone 💚💛🌻

2023 Para Dressage Fund: Marta White (MA)

From Marta, “I used the funds towards training fees with Lisa Hellmer for January through March. With Lisa's expert tutelage, I was initiated into the world of Grand Prix Para Dressage competition, and I am now a FEI 3* competitor!

"I competed at all three CPEDIs in Florida this winter on Lisa's wonderful horse, Aniko, and earned a spot on the long list for this year's Paralympic Games. Going forward, I am excited to utilize this training and apply my skills towards international competitions with my horse, Beaulieu's Simply Cool. I am excited to see what she and I can accomplish.

"I would like to thank you The Dressage Foundation for the generous grant which helped me to pursue my training goals in Florida last winter."

The Para Dressage Fund provides financial support for Para Dressage riders, riders with disabilities, and Visually Impaired riders. The purpose of this support is for riders to attend educational events such as clinics/seminars at the USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage Centers of Excellence, lessons with a trainer of choice, or other educational opportunities that will enable the riders to improve and reach their goals. Applications are due November 1.

F.C is a 2021 Oldenburg Gelding by Furstenball out of a Sinatra Song mare. He is bred to succeed in dressage! To top it off, he is a total sweetie and has an in your pocket personality. F.C is eager to please, smart, and a quick study. He is super easy in the barn, stands for the farrier, loads in the trailer. He long lines and hacks around the farm too! He has been started with confidence and will be easy and fun to continue on with.

Happy to report that Sunflower Hill Farm was left unscathed by the hurricane. We are in such a great spot here with elevation and no flooding. Horses are happy and quiet. Thanks for everyone who checked in! 🌻💚💛

Minor sunflower damage is all we had. So lucky! 🫶🏻
