Flexion
Flexing is part of my daily interaction with a horse. I start introducing it from the ground by holding but not yanking, pulling or forcing the horse to give. Done probably you achieve softness and release of tension.
Ground work with Duvall. He is a Paso fino rescued from auction.
This Paso Fino gelding was highly abused and has been surrendered to HVHRESCUE. His handlers have come alone way with Goose but he has to be mounted from the right side because he bits if you try from the left, he plants himself and refuses to move forward, and when he finally does move out he is inverted, spooky, unbalanced and also tries to bit. He is so unhappy and disconnected. After ruling out physical issues (teeth, saddle fit and feet problems) with Goose, We will produce an uncut video series to follow his progress in which David Palacio will show in detail how to obtain an immediate bond with your horse which leads to a Dominant/Trust relationship. It will be achieved 100% violence and chaos-free, guided without punishment. #hvhrescue https://youtu.be/XltO5rLWygs

Leadership through bodylandguage.
We work with a lot of paso finos that don't know how to relax and walk on a loose rein. Pat is a Paso Fino Gelding that was shown, pushed and collected too young. He was only controlled by the mouth with big bits & metal nosebands. He has made good progress at the farm in both groundwork and mounted but when taken off property he becomes tense, takes the bit and very forward moving. In the video I just mount him. I did No groundwork or lounging to wear him out. He starts out wanting to move out but this is better then he used to be. I have no bit in his mouth, only a soft rope halter with no knots. After just a few minutes of redirecting that energy, he starts to respond to my seat and he releases some anxiety. He starts to cruise on a loose rein without me worrying about gait or headset. I want him to find joy in the rides and have little contact on the face. He needs to learn that loose rein doesn't mean he taking off. I end the ride by me being the one to ask for forward motion, he stays on a loose rein and then stop him mostly with my body.
The basis of my method is to control the tools and move an energy. To me, it is crucial that you 1st learn this by yourself and then add the horse.
Teaching a paso Fino mare and owner to work with the seat & pelvis. Mare is very resentful to move forward, bucks & has attitude.
