Meet Jasper 👋🏼🦜
Jasper is a Plum-headed parrot (Psittacula cyanocephala). It has been a joy working with him. He was more hesitant than Lola to allow us to hold him, but over the last few months he has quickly warmed up to us, so that he beats Lola to hop out the cage first.
His head has gone through the first transformation since he came to us, from greenish to grayish, and as he matures his head will become a beautiful "plum" color (like Flame, whom we previously posted about).

Meet Lola🦜 Lola came to us at about 6 months old, parent raised (so untamed). We've been working with her (especially our oldest daughter) and she's quickly come around to enjoying being handled. She's not too fond of hands (especially fingers) in her cage, but once she's out she's pretty calm. She makes the sweetest little chatter sounds! Once she's mature her head will be like Frostine (whom we previously posted), a beautiful lavender gray shade💜

Exciting news🗣️🎤, Aviary of Joy has been blessed with the addition of a new species:🦜 the plum-headed parrot (Psittacula cyanocephala).

Meet Flame 🔥 & Frostine ❄️.
They've finished their quarantine and have a clear health record!
