This past weekend, at the AKC Agility Trials, they earned their first Qualifying Scores in Novice Standard & FAST!
They also earned their 2nd Q in Novice JWW!
1st Place in All 3 Classes!

This promo is available to low-income pet owners who reside in Marion County and are seeking assistance spaying and neutering their pet. This special is open to CATS AND DOGS! (Owned cats only, please.) Pet owner must be a resident of Marion County, FL. This special does not apply to any previously scheduled and already booked appointments.

$20 Rate Includes:
For Dogs: surgery, pain meds, cone, DA2PP vaccine, rabies and microchip
For Cats: surgery, pain meds, FVRCP, rabies and microchip

Instructions on how to book:

- Choose spay-neuter appointment
- **Make sure when you put in your pet's weight to use KILOGRAMS. Divide your pets weight in lbs by 2.2 to get kilograms. (Ex. 10lb dog weighs 4.5kg)**

Congratulations to Chrissy & Roo!
They competed in a CPE Agility Trial today. Not only did they have 2 *perfect* runs, but they earned 1st Place in both classes!
They really are a terrific team together!

Important News…

We’ve had a period of misfortune here at HDTC - including 2 unexpected tragic deaths. So I took a break -from starting new classes- in order to deal with all of the resulting issues. This is only the 2nd time, in 38 years, that I’ve taken a pause.

But now I’m back! 😊

We will start New Classes in January! 🐶

(Watch for the announcement, regarding dates & details, within the next couple of days.)

If you’d like to speak with me, please give me a shout. I’m in the process of returning calls & texts. So if you have contacted me, I will get back with you over the weekend. My sincere apology for the delay.

I’ve also been remiss about posting my Obedience, Rally & Agility Students’ achievements in Competition. So I’ll be catching-up on that. I’m so proud of them!

Are you looking for a buddy to go caroling with this Holiday Season? 🔔🎄

Our shelter pets are looking for foster families who are willing to welcome them into their homes during the week of Christmas for our "Home for the Holidays" program!

VOCAL provides all supplies needed for your foster guest like food, leash and collar, beds, litter box, etc. All you have to do is love on them for a few days! This provides the animals with a much-needed break from the stressful life of the shelter and allows our adoption team to learn how they act in a home! Not to mention, they will get to experience Christmas Time in a loving home for possibly the first time!

You can pick up your furry guest on Monday 12/23 and they can return to us Friday 12/27 OR keep them through New Years as well and return Thursday 1/2 (unless you fall in love)!

Recently, we’ve had a series of traumas here at Havenlea…

-I lost my Border Collie, Willow, to a Snake Bite. Her “little sister” Paisley took it very badly & has been mourning. As have I.

-3 large dogs jumped my pasture fence & attacked my Donkey, ButterCup. They bit her legs & underside badly, then ran her through the neighbor’s barbed-wire fence.
They also mauled my 2 Goats. The injuries killed Fern. Posey also had very serious wounds & is now terrified of dogs.

-Between Hurricanes Helene & Milton, I lost much of my Barn Roof, a Tree, my Business Sign, etc.

-I’ve also had to handle many other issues.

Needless to say, it’s been extremely stressful. During this time of grief, I limited teaching, and had to step away from returning calls & correspondence.

I’m so very sorry if you’ve tried to reach me, but couldn’t. I have now started to catch up. So if you don’t hear back from me, please call or text again.

I am planning our next round of classes, as well as other events. So watch for info here… 🐾
