FLAT OUT ZIPPEN! Aka “DoorDash”
🥉 DAC NOVICE HORSE WESTERN PLEASURE
So so proud of how far this guy has come in such a short time! FUN FACT…a few weeks ago at the PREMIER, we had the horse whisper come and talk to “DoorDash.” He informed us that he wanted to be a “big time player!” He was worried all the big novice horse classes have passed him by and he wouldn’t get his shot! So after much discussion, we decided to load him up and haul him 17 hours to Back To Berrien to give him a chance at the big time! At his very first show, we walked away 3rd! Way to go “DoorDash” you’ve officially made it! ❤️ Special thank you to Chris Holbin for all the work you’ve done on him this spring. This wouldn’t have been possible without all the time you spent with him!

The May Non-Pro Issue Of The Way To Go Is Now Online!
When Hay Here I Come debuts in the show ring later this month, it will be the culmination of years of successful collaboration between Rusty and Katie Green, Jim and Deanna Searles and Katherine and Jerry Tobin. Learn more about their latest project and their history in this month’s Cover Story. NSBA has approved a Ranch Breeders Championship Futurity division, with classes rolling out in 2026 through 2029. Enrollment for stallions and yearlings will begin in 2025. We explain the new division. NSBA’s Incentive Fund completed its 12th year in 2023 with a payout of $24,73 per point and a total purse of $120,043.30. The Way To Go talked with some of last year’s participants. NSBA welcomes its newest inductees into the Hall Of Fame, including Individuals Bill and Cindy Cosentino, Breeding Stallion Sky Blue Walker, Breeding Mare Hot Lopin Louise and Show Horse Dark Jasmine. In celebration of our Non-Pro Issue, we talk with Do It Yourself Non-Pro exhibitors, who explain their unique challenges and experiences. In this month’s “How Things Work,” Judges Jake Hartman, Shannon Curl Holbin and Rhonda Replogle share what they look for in scoring and judging pattern classes.
