In light of the Kentucky Derby this weekend we thought it would be fun to let folks know a little history. Don Divine made a huge impact on the American Pit bull Terrier while simultaneously making one in the world of race horses. He became famously known for his ability to train and condition horses. His record with 2yr olds was impeccable. Conditioning seemed to be a special talent Don had and could apply to any animal he could get his eyes and hands on. Here is the late Don Divine(on the left) standing in the winners circle alongside Ben Jones and jockey Eddie Arcaro to receive recognition in the 1952 Kentucky Derby with the winner "Hill Gail". Ben and Eddie were great horsemen as well.
