We are looking for a very special person to join our team.
Based near Ocala Florida, the horse capital of the world, we have a barn of 8 horses at home and a few ridden at another site also. Jess is a dressage rider with a team of very lovely and talented horses. We have become so busy we need to add a crucial person to the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion and a love for horses. The horses needs are always the priority and must be met to a high standard. We have a relaxed and fun yet professional atmosphere, we have high standards that must be met, yet we understand we all must enjoy the journey.
Must be happy to carry out ALL types of barn work and have a can do attitude.
Opportunity to travel to competitions including regular shows at The World Equestrian Center and trips to The Global Dressage Festival in Wellington. But equally happy to sometimes look after the horses at home. Experience with competition horses and stallions is preferred. But we are willing to teach the right candidate if they have a good attitude to learning.
Must be: open minded, able to work alone and as part of a team, have a good work ethic and take pride in their work. Happy to muck out, harrow paddocks, feed, hay, keep the barn clean and tidy, carry out therapies on the horses such as BEMER and equivibe, be organised, enjoy being outside with horses, dogs and kids! Understand that this is not a 9-5 job, we work very hard, but play hard and have so much fun too! Have a passion for horses, an interest in dressage and in natural horsemanship, we aim to train our horses with both classical and natural techniques with focusing on the horses happiness and psychology. Riding and training is absolutely a possibility, but equally fine if you prefer to groom and not ride.
If coming from across the pond time line will be dependent on visa situation and can be discussed, wage, flights and opportunities totally depend on the right person and can be discussed!
