Donrato X is a 2016 Holsteiner gelding by Diarado standing at 16.2h. The perfect hunter, he is auto-everything with no prep needed. He doesn’t spook at the jumps and is the same horse at home, the show, and in the ring. He spent one year with a novice junior in the children’s hunters and was champion at the Hampton Classic in 2023. Donrato has been there done that, placing in top-rated shows on the East Coast circuit. He is currently in the 3’3” Green Hunter division with plenty of scope and step to move up to the 3’6”. Elvira De Valdespino is a 2016 Belgian Sport Horse mare standing at 16.2h. With previous mileage in the jumper ring up to 1.30m, Elvira has recently found her true calling in the hunters. An elegant mover, she is naturally quiet with a beautiful jump. Elvira is just starting in the hunters, with no prior show record, making her eligible for the Green Hunter classes. She has plenty of scope for the higher divisions and would make a fabulous derby prospect.

“I left a piece of my heart in Paris.

It’s taken me days to figure out what I wanted to say because honestly there’s too much, and at the same time nothing that can accurately describe what pentathlon and making this Olympic team have meant to me. So, first off, thank you pentathlon.

Thank you for giving me a decade of building, learning and pushing myself further than I ever thought possible.

Thank you for allowing me to travel and meet some of the most amazing athletes, coaches and people I’ve ever known.

Thank you for bringing my coaches to me. A group of people that I can’t yet thank properly and put their meaning to me into words without tears. I’m not ready for those goodbyes (see you laters). For now, you all know who you are and what you’ve meant to me.

Thank you to my family and friends for their constant support, I couldn’t have seen this through to the end without you.

Most of all, thank you for the long and sometimes impossible days, the daily grind and tedium that comes with elite sport training, the wins, losses, heartbreak and elation. The bruises, blood, injuries and tears that showed me what I am truly capable of.

Because there is nothing more beautiful than the life and memories this sport gave me.

🇺🇸 🤩 and 🤠 made it to the Palace of Versailles yesterday!🇫🇷

✨Our Paris 2024 Olympian and her coach walked the 1.20m course and previewed the horses for the show jumping portion of the Modern Pentathlon to be held during the semifinals on August 10th.🐎🇫🇷

Jess started competition today in fencing, 🤺 securing a win that moved her up in the standings. Best of luck, Jess. We are cheering you on!💙❤️🇺🇸

The modern pentathlon includes equestrian show jumping, fencing, freestyle swimming, pistol shooting, and cross-country running. A lifelong equestrian, Jess has trained with our own Steve McAllister for many years.🤠
