We shared about Maggie a few days ago, and her sad story. Well look who lucked out on a loving home?? She loves her people and won't have to be lonely anymore.

Thank you to everyone who shared her. There's power in social media and Maggie sure appreciates it.

Tucker and Cooper are both MCAS rescues and they are loving life being together 🥰 we got a note from their human about what the transition from shelter to home has been like:

Just FYI- I know you have at least one, if not two other dogs there similar if not same breed- the Walker Treeing Hound. They are VERY people oriented, and really want to be with their person. Both Cooper and Tucker suffer from seperation anxiety. Tucker had come a long way, and the crate training has helped him feel safer when we are away. Cooper seems to already have been a little bit crate trained, and is taking to it quickly. If anybody is adopting, they need to understand that the kennel REALLY stresses them out. They will settle with time. Even now Tucker will whine and bay occasionally for about 15 minutes after being left. It does get better. Patience is very much needed. Chaotic homes or somewhere people are gone all day isnt going to work well. Probably why Tucker was returned so many times. Might help the next puppy get a good fit the first time. 🙂

Happy tails to these beautiful pups!

KODIAK 2 yo, 61lbs, A353099

Kodiak has a bit of that "tough guy energy". He is very strong on the leash and knows exactly where he wants to go and what he wants to p*e on.
Once he satisfies that Bad Boy Bathroom habit, he is 🤫 *kind of* a BABY. He chases toys and gets the zoomies and simply MELTS when he gets his butt scratched. He will sit politely and smile with his two crooked bottom TEEF and accept a treat very gently.

Kodiak may need to be the only DAWG in the house- ya' know- because he's super tough. But mainly because he might get jealous if you don't give him, 🤫 the BABY, 🤫 all of your attention.

Kodiak is available for adoption at Marion County Animal Services in Ocala Florida.

ROXY
Located At: Marion County Animal Services
Description: I am a spayed female, black dog.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old.
Cage Number: B61
Playstyle: Gentle Dainty
Sociability: Selective
--------------------------------------
I found Roxy to be a gentle but very scared girl. It took almost 15 minutes of me with her inside her kennel before she would allow me to pet her and get a leash on her. Once we made friends she was easy to walk and get into a play yard. The yard itself made her nervous for a while, but she did calm down and go exploring after a couple of minutes.
She was too nervous to be interested in treats, but did enjoy being scratched once she got more comfortable. This girl needs a gentle person to teach her to trust again.

I'll add, Theo was a big goofy happy boy when I met him.
He sits nicely for a treat, and wanted to kiss me every time I gave him one.

TACO TUESDAY 🌮

every week people ask us "what's in the tacos"

The inside is pedigree chopped dog food and pumpkin! Then frozen. They love the frozen treats. Helps them slow down and enjoy them a little longer 😜

Thank you to everyone who donates ingredients for us to do this every week. They love seeing the taco cart come by 😅

MOON 8 yo, 65 lbs, A353194

Mr. Moon is a senior stud muffin looking for love.
He prefers short walks, naps in the sun, and the company of other calm, polite dogs.
He has enjoyed his time with a temporary foster, proving that he is indeed a classy gentleman. Housebroken, crate trained, a seasoned car rider, and good with dogs of all sizes, Moon is just about perfect.
He is fairly selective when it comes to the company of very young children, as he prefers a calmer environment without all that noisy "learning and growing" business. He feels that older children and young adults are more accepting of his life experience and mentoring skills.

Moon is available for adoption at Marion County Animal Services in Ocala Florida. He will be returning full time by the end of this week- call or stop by to set up a date with the handsome Mr. Moon!

Our baseline trailhead walk Saturday with Ava A340896 and Bert A336298. Both did exceptionally well on the walk, in the car, with each other. This was Ava's first time, she was awesome, walked wonderfully on leash, was non-reactive to other dogs walking by, great in the car. They are available for adoption at Marion County Animal Services in Ocala florida. Please share. They really need a home. Thank you.

George, 2 yo, 53 lbs, A350636

George has all the silly of a puppy and most of the manners of an adult. He slows his zoomies just short of his person and turns around to take off again. If you have an open lap, George snuggles right in and sneaks kisses. This happy boy will be the sunshine of any family!
He is a little awkward meeting new dog friends, so a meet and greet is recommended.

Available for adoption at Marion County Animal Services in Ocala Florida.
