We need all your love and prayers today for this one. 🙏 Meet Veronica VanGough. ♥️ She was rescued from an awful situation minutes away from death. Her temp was zilch and her blood pressure almost nonexistent. Veronica was (we assume) attacked by another dog and literally her ear and the side of her face is missing. This is a cruelty case so we can’t share details yet, but safe to say we are going to try hard to save her. 🙏 Can you keep her in your thoughts today? Intake pictures before and after surgery are posted in our RACC Medical Pics (warning-graphic). 💔😭

As we approach shorter daylight hours, whether you walk, cycle, use public transport or drive, make sure you can be seen.

So dust off those hi-vis vests, light up dog collars, cycle lights and perform light checks on your vehicle.

🚿 Mobile Shower Trailer at Help and Outreach Point of Entry 🚿

Starting November 14th, Help and Outreach Point of Entry will be one of the host locations for the Worcester Goes Purple and Homes 4 Hope Mobile Shower Trailer.

If you or someone you know needs a warm shower, a to-go lunch, and access to resources, stop by and see us every 2nd and 4th Thursday. We’re here to help!

The town of Swansboro now has a new chip scanning station… it is located at the public safety facility in front of the police station.
If you find a lost dog or cat …. take them to the scanning station and scan for a chip.
The service is free and self explanatory. This station will help you reach the Chip company  which will contact the animals parents. It also provides information if the animal does not have a chip and what to do.

If your town or community is interested in a station reach out to Paws 4 Purpose . Paws 4 Purpose is a rescue organization that has many initiatives to help the animals in our county.
