Everyone please read 📚
-Some of you are aware because you have been by, or inquired.
The shop is currently down two groomers due to health issues.

🫡Dodie clients: Dodie had knee surgery right after Christmas, and she will contact you after she is released from the doctor to return to work :)

🤠Alora Clients: She is able to make contact with clients and is very very sick. Please give her space and wait for her to reach out to you to reschedule.

I am running the shop solo with no help currently, so please understand that if you are not on a rotation with me and make your appointments in advance your wait time will be long. Please PLEASE reschedule after your appointment for your future appointment.
We will get through this we always do! Thank you to all the clients who have brought me breakfast, coffee, hugs, and encouraged us through this difficult month. You make owning a business worth it!

💫Getting loads of inquiries about becoming a client at the GG💫

**Here is how to start a relationship with one of our awesome groomers**
*Please understand-We do not accept one time grooms or vacation grooms-

Make sure you have all of your vaccines in order before calling, texting, or emailing us. Proper mandatory vaccines requirement include:
Rabies, Dhpp, and Bordatella. Must be current with NO exception. Once you verified those are complete and current you OR your vet can send them to [email protected]

Text us or call and leave a message that they were sent in leaving your name, pet name, and your number. We will call you back. Please DO NOT repeat call, we have a massive schedule to work through and we often wait to see if there's any changes to the schedule or availability before calling.

Get ready for a meet and greet with the shop. You will be asked to bring your dog in to test it's personality, coat, size, health, needs, and to meet you as well and see if you are a good fit. We do not take aggressive, over anxious, or dogs that we feel need a veterinary assisted grooming. We will also want to get to know you as a parent to see if you are a good fit for our shop.

Aside from Dawnya the owner and lead groomer, the salon has two independent contractors who own their own buisness. They are part of the GG and beloved long term groomers, however they are independent and able to choose their own schedule, clients and working hours. These groomers rent their space, and choose who they work with as clients. Once you are established with a groomer you will be their client only. We do not play pass the pooch in our salon at any time. This is to maintain consistency with your pet at groomer client relationship. We will not set you on a groomers schedule, and move your dog for any reason to another groomer.

We do not have a receptionist. This is to keep costs low for our community. If we did each client would need to pay 25% more per groom. We wish to remain affordable as we ONLY serve our community and are not a tourist destination. Please be patient with call backs because of this, and we are the only salon on the peninsula currently with extremely high volume.

We appreciate every single one of our clients, and most are very dear to us. We respect and adore our GG clients and pet parents. Please refrain from rudeness, demanding behavior, and treat staff with respect and kindness. We do not tolerate disrespect from clients of any kind in the salon.

Finally, understand that every dog is unique and has unique needs. They are individuals just like you and I are. Grooming times vary based on behavior, coat, breed, health ect. Every groom is different! Dogs often have off days like we do. We text or call when their groom is completed, so please be prepared.

Currently we have had no signs here.
Remember to check your dog for sniffles, cough, and overall just feeling of unwell.
*We require this vaccine for all of our clients, but it's not fool proof* Please DO cancel your dog if they are showing signs, as an outbreak at our facility would hurt alot of peoples holiday plans.
We keep our facility extremely clean, and sanitization is top priority.

Benny was more than a pet; he was a cherished member of his family, a daily coworker, and a friend with a funny personality that could light up any room.

Benny’s antics and unconditional love for everyone around him earned him a special place in the hearts of all who knew him. His ability to sense emotions and offer comfort was nothing short of extraordinary, making him not just a pet but a true confidant and supporter.

In honor of Benny's memory and his everlasting love for humans and an epic dog sweater, we are proud to introduce "Benny’s Closet." This initiative, located in the lobby of the Grooming Garage, serves as a place where community members can continue Benny’s legacy of sharing and caring. Here, you can recycle dog-related items and leave cash donations in trade if you find something you may need. all of which cash donations will be gifted to the South Pacific County Humane Society (SPCHS) to support animals in need.

We invite you to visit Benny’s Closet to donate dog toys, beds, leashes, or food. Each contribution will help ensure that Benny's love continues on by supporting the wonderful work of the SPCHS.

Benny was a light in the lives of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. As we continue to feel his absence, let us find comfort in the joyful memories he gave us and in the knowledge that his legacy will continue to help other animals.

Please join us in celebrating Benny’s remarkable life and contributing to a cause close to our hearts. Benny may have left our sight, but he will never leave our hearts.

Dawnya here! So many things were learned this week! This is THE MOST important thing learned. I asked the DVM to send me this material to show to all of you in a presentation, and he's willing! Amazing information on skin, diseases, and vet/groomer care. I'm excited to share this with you all in full.

Dodie Otoupalik didn't get to make it to SUPERZOO, by WPA . But we found her favorite groomer Pupparazzi Pets Jess Adorno and got her a present! We love you Dodie 😍
