Effective Monday July 29th, we will be instituting a late drop off and late pick up fee for feral cats. Drop off is between 7 and 8 a.m. Monday through Wednesday (see our FAQ page on snipms.com) and pick up is the following morning at 8:30 a.m. unless you hear from us that we weren’t able to get to your feral that day.

We understand that things happen. However, our processes are set up in a very specific way to a) be able to offer the services we do, including accommodating ferals without appointments, and b) to be able to offer the prices we do, including discounted pricing for ferals. We cannot continue to accommodate late drop offs or pick ups at the level we have been getting them.

The late fee is $15 and will be applied to any drop off or pick up at or after 9:00 a.m. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. You are doing important work and we want to continue to work cohesively with you to make a difference in the community!

**If you are trapping for an organization, please note that you will be personally responsible for late fees. Fees will not be added to an organization’s invoice.**

Good evening!! The clinic is urgently needing a new oxygen concentrator for one of our anesthesia machines, and our good friends at Coco's Lighthouse, Inc. are fundraising to help get us one! The cost is around $1200 and every dollar toward this total makes a difference! We try to minimize waste and control costs everywhere we can so that we can keep our prices LOW! We use oxygen concentrators to avoid the ongoing cost of oxygen tank rentals and contracts to keep them filled.

Please share and help us restock our on our most needed supplies! Your donations help us keep our prices low, which is our goal and our MISSION!

We do everything we can to conserve, find the lowest prices, and minimize waste. But every month we do over 800 surgeries and it takes a lot to make that happen! For example, here is a breakdown of just a few of our most used items:

🔸 13 gallon trash bags - 100+/month
🔸 large trash bags - 50+/month
🔸 Scalpel blades - 800+/month
🔸 Prescription labels - 600+/month
🔸 Food trays - 300+/month
🔸 Colored index cards - 300+/month
🔸 White index cards - 500+/month
🔸 Disposable gloves - 800+/month

This is just a small glimpse. We also run the washer constantly to keep up with laundry, we use the Kraft paper rolls to line kennels, we use bleach and puppy pads, tape, printer ink, we run through paper towels and we always need clipper blades.

Most of these items by themselves aren’t very much. But they add up! That’s why your donation, no matter how small, MAKES A DIFFERENCE to us!!

We are excited to announce that our male cat promotion for Jackson County residents has been extended through the month of July!

With the help of Feral Feline Coalition, the Jackson County Animal Shelter, and SNIP’s own Fix It Fund, we are excited to be able to offer a discounted price for male cats from Jackson County for the entire month of July!

This targeted special aims to address a specific need for the county. In order to see the greatest impact at the shelter and in the TNR community, we need more Jackson County male cats coming through these doors!

What you need to know:
▪️ Appointments are limited, and made through our website, snipms.com and are first come, first serve.
▪️ The discount is applied AFTER booking (the regular price of $50 is what you will see when you book).
▪️ A $25 nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking, and will go toward your total on the day of services. No shows and late cancellations result in forfeiting your deposit.
▪️ A rabies vaccine is required at the time of surgery if your pet is not already up to date. The cost is $12. All other services are optional.
▪️ While there is no limit per household, each cat must be in its own carrier, so please schedule accordingly.
▪️ This special rate is for pet/owned cats from Jackson County only, for the month of July only.

The demand is simply too much at this time and we can’t sustain operations as they currently stand. We hope this change will help us be able to continue to offer feral cat surgeries consistently. Wow!! Sips For SNIP was a great success! Coco's Lighthouse, Inc. raised over $4000 for our Jackson County Community Cat Collaboration! Huge thank you to Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill for their support and generosity. Also, Jackson County Animal Shelter Gautier, MS got three dogs into foster or permanent homes today!! We are calling this day a big big win!

The Jackson County Animal Shelter Gautier, MS is having a capacity crisis and is in desperate need of fosters and adopters. That’s why we are so glad they will be at Sips For SNIP this Saturday with adoptable pets! You can meet dogs like Vanessa and many others, and help the shelter in their time of need by finding a new family member or just fostering for a few weeks! Come see them at Sidelines Sports Bar and Grill this Saturday from 11-4. We will also have great raffle bundles, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, fried fish plates and a specialty margarita next door at El Patron!

Huge thanks to Coco's Lighthouse, Inc.for hosting this event and for partnering with JCAS to reduce the cost of feral cat surgeries in Jackson County!

We are so grateful to WLOX-TV for helping us get the word out about Sips For SNIP and the Jackson County Community Cat Collaboration with Coco's Lighthouse, Inc. and Jackson County Animal Shelter Gautier, MS.

To clarify, we have been fixing around 80 Jackson county ferals each month. We see 300-400 cats each month for surgery 😻.

The fundraiser event supports our $20 price for Jackson County ferals.

Separately, we do have a special in June for public male cats from Jackson County ($30).

And finally, our regular price for ferals is $40.
