Our volunteer Valerie recommended Macy to her friend Lisa and Lisa fell in love! Sweet Macy gets to go down to a huge property filled with palm trees, and sunshine in the happy state of Florida. Isn’t that the best news ever?! They’ll be driving down on Friday morning, and here we are today having a spa day at Spy's Spa & Self Wash in Astoria. Yay, Macy— you will have the best life ever!☀️🌴🏖️

It is with a heavy heart that we share Pooh Bear, has crossed the rainbow bridge today after an abdominal mass was discovered. Pooh Bear has been in a very loving foster home for the last 2 years with his sister Sassy. We want to say a huge thank you to his phenomenal foster who took amazing care of him and provided a nurturing environment. Pooh bear was 20 years old. Our thoughts and prayers are with his foster today. 🌈❤️💔😔🙏🏼

Happy this is sweet and shy Meechi. Meechi’s owner was unable to take care of her or her sister due to personal circumstances. Meechi was rescued from the MACC emergency list and she requires an experienced foster who can help her blossom into a confident girl. Meechi has FeLV.

Meechi is learning to trust and would do best in a home with fosters/adopters who are willing to give her plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with helping a fearful cat adjust to strangers. She has been doing well at the rescue and loves receiving pets and snuggles from our volunteers. 🤗❤️
Meechi is 5 years old, spayed and up to date.

Meet Valerie (hugging Macy), one of Lend-a-Paw Inc.’s awesome volunteers who helps transport dogs and cats to the vet or even new homes. Last summer, she spent time with Macy, riding shotgun, on the way to her new foster’s home. Valerie fell in love with Macy, and when one of her friends was looking to adopt, she suggested her fave co-pilot, Macy. And guess what? Next week Macy gets to go to her forever home, all because our volunteer recognized what a special girl she was!💞🐶👏

This is Tony who was brought into us by a local cat trapper. Tony does not allow handling at all but does enjoy being with other cats.

Frankie and Moonpie are brothers who were abandoned by their family but remained together. 💔Frankie allows petting with time. Moonpie is very scared and does not allow petting or handling. Moonpie is FIV positive. A family who can help them learn to trust and will take it slow to understand them would be ideal. ❤️

It’s Meow Monday and we wanted to share sweet Oliver with you. We first came into contact with Oliver when we received a call about an injured cat. We took him in, provided the necessary vet care and nursed him back to health.
Since then, Oliver has been gaining our trust and absolutely loves the company of other cats. Oliver would benefit from a foster who can help him socialize. Even if you haven’t socialized a cat before, if you love cats and are willing to learn we can help support you.

Oliver requires an adult only home, he is between 2-4 years old, fixed and up to date.
