POLICIES:
At KANDI’S PAWS AND CLAWS GROOMING, I schedule each dog by appointment in a time slot individualized to their size, coat type, and temperament in order to give each of them my utmost undivided attention, which keeps stress levels to a minimum by completing the groom as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Time is extremely precious to me, and in order to remain as efficient as possible, I ask you, the customer, to respect the scheduled appointment time.
CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY
Due to the fact that I have a full schedule and a waiting list, I require a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel an appointment. If you cancel within 24 of your scheduled appointment, a fee of 50% of the scheduled groom will be added to your next appointment.
If you do not show up for your appointment, a fee of 50% of the scheduled groom will be added to the next appointment and you will need to pre-pay for the appointment in order to reschedule. If now-shows become a habit, I reserve the right to turn you away for future appointments.
LATE POLICY
Late arrivals can shift my entire schedule, which is an inconvenience to me and the other customers that are scheduled after you. In order to keep appointment times running smoothly, I ask that you show up to your appointment on time.
If you are late to your appointment, but I can still accommodate your dog, a $10.00 fee will be added to your total groom.
If you are late to your appointment, and I can not accommodate your dog, I will need to reschedule your appointment to the next available time slot and a cancellation fee will be applied to the rescheduled appointment.
LEASHES:
All dogs must be properly restrained on a leash. This is a busy area and all pets need to be on a leash for their safety.
SENIOR DOGS:
I will do my best to complete your senior dog’s groom quickly. Sometimes senior dogs need breaks to keep them comfortable. This creates a longer total grooming time. Also, grooming can be stressful for your senior dog. I am not responsible for injury or death that may happen.
MATTED:
Unfortunately, your dog may have to be shaved. Since mats are tightly on the skin, they often hide pre-existing conditions. Shaving mats can cause or reveal injuries such as inflammation, infections, restricted movements, and blood circulation problems.
In particular, because mats on the ears restrict blood flow they can cause hematomas. Removing the mats can trigger a sudden rush of blood to the ears. Thus, bleeding can occur, typically at the tips and edges.
