There is something social media can be good for and other things that social media is doing nothing but damaging your thoughts! The first step of moving forward with your Huskies training is to get off of your husky(FB)groups and stop listening to them saying that your husky cannot be trained. Complete BS!
Yes, some breeds can be more challenging than others, but that just means you as the owner need to step up to the plate and take on the commitment of giving your dog the time and training they need! And if you need help, you need to reach out to a professional that will get you and your husky moving in the right direction. I can never say this enough. Your animals are counting on you for more than just food, shelter and water.

This is Phoenix a 1-year-old female Doberman. She is here for a 3-week board and train program. She is a pretty fresh dog. The only thing she really knows is sit but does not hold the position under distractions or for any period of time.

We're going to start out working on her learning how to walk on a loose leash and no longer dragging people down the road. As well as a down command, place, release and the most important, a reliable recall.

As soon as Phoenix is a master at all of those commands, we are then going to get into more advanced Training which is the 3 D's. Distance, Distractions and Duration.

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my weekly clients show up and showing me the progress they have made throughout the week.

Marker training is truly amazing once you learn how to implement it.

Took itzy on a field trip today to work on manners in public and she did very well. There were some interactions I wish I would have been able to get on camera but unfortunately when you're the trainer and cameraman you can only get so much.

Here is a short clip showing some of itzy's progress. Her engagement is getting a lot better!

This is Stuart, some of you may recognize him. He was here about 3 months ago for a board and train program. His owners also took some private sessions. He's here hanging out for a few days while his owners take care of some personal needs. I love offering boarding to all of my clients that have come here for training. It gives me a chance to catch up with them and the dogs.
