Remember Lafayette, the young cat that was dumped during a winter storm? Well he is now awaiting a family to give him a furever home! After a visit to our clinic, he is now neutered, rabies and distemper/FVRCP vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed, flea/tick treated, microchipped, and has perfect litterbox skills!

He was an absolute favorite at the vet, who saw how friendly and cuddly he is! He purrs nonstop when he sees a friendly face, and our staff believes that he would be a great addition to any family!

Earlier today a staff member got notified that a young cat was abandoned and left in the snow. With freezing temperatures, it was pretty unlikely that he would survive long. Thankfully with help of the community he is now safe under our rescue! He is a purr machine and keeps saying thank you through snuggles.

We haven't named this cutie yet, suggestions welcomed!! 😻

So happy to share that our sweet girl Jade is now adopted! As a 5 year old cat, Jade has had trouble being adopted due to her age - despite being active, incredibly friendly, and with a lot of life and love left to give. Her fosters fell in love with her and now she has a furever family for the rest of her days.

Update: Adopted!

Our kitten of the day is Rosie! This sweet kitty is SO cuddly, she loves being right next to you or on your lap while you're working or watching TV. She has a playful side, and is a big fan of a wand toy. Originally she was stuck in a wall for 5 days (!!!) before local animal control was able to get to her and into our rescue organization.

Our cat of the day is Jade! She is a spunky and lovable 5 year old cat who is incredibly friendly and LOVES attention. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, litterbox trained, dewormed, de-flea/tick treated, FIV/FELV-, and is great around other cats and children of all ages!

She is a master biscuit-maker, a purr-machine, and overall one of the friendliest cats we've had the pleasure of helping at our rescue. Her fosters adore her and want to see her in her forever home! If you're looking for a lap-cat and a companion for life, Jade is the girl for you.

She originally came to our organization with a lot of stress-induced overgrooming after living in fear of the resident dog but now is thriving with her current foster! Because of her past, a home without a dog is necessary.

Today on , our small rescue reflects on the hundreds of cats and kittens we've helped over the years. We're incredibly thankful for our unpaid staff and volunteers who work tirelessly every day, and to our community who support our mission to make the world a little bit better, one life at a time.

Meet our newest member! Our shelter partner BARCS Animal Shelter contacted us about a dirty and dehydrated kitty that was stuck in a wall for 5 DAYS before animal control got her out. Now she is with one of our staff members and is warm, clean, and with a full belly! She's got a playful personality despite her rough start, and will receive vet care before adoption later on.

A huge thank you to the family and workers who rescued these kittens after being found in a basket at a dumpsite! One of our bottle baby fosters will take this crew in until they're weaned and able to be in a longer-term foster home.

Any black or tuxedo lovers out there? We have Sugar Cone (boy) and Oreo Crumbles (girl) ready to meet their forever families! This 3.5-4 month old duo has lived with other cats and a dog, and would be a great addition to any home! As with all of our kitties, they are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, given flea/tick meds, dewormed, and are vaccinated (distemper/FRCP and rabies).

Oh my kitties!!! We love adoption days and couldn't be more happy with our kittens finding their forever families! As with many shelters and rescue groups, we are battling being at max capacity this kitten season, so having loving families adopt these cute girlies and fellas make our day ❤️

We love our kitty updates! Acorn, a kitty who was originally caught in a squirrel trap, is now over a year old and is loving her life with her mom and kitty sibling! Our staff and her previous foster love seeing her be so happy and healthy with each update!
