We are happy to announce we will have a small dog (dogs under 15 pounds) community swim this Saturday at noon. All the normal rules apply and the dog must be friendly with other dogs and strangers. This is limited to 6 dogs only. The link is below.

Excited to announce that Summer Marks will be offering Beginner & Intermediate Dock Diving, and Beginner Swim Classes at Steel City Dock Dogs. Summer has been competing for over six years and has competed in NADD, Dock Dogs and UAD. She is also a judge for Steel City Dock Dogs League.
Classes are one on one instruction. Group classes have limited availability. Call for more info.

We are trying something new. We are going to try breed specific community swims once a week. Below is our first one and it’s for Golden Retrievers (golden mixes are ok). For this 45 minute session, it’s paramount that your dog is not reactive. Any aggression or reactivity and you will have to leave. Sign up here

What is your dog willing to do for his/her favorite toy? Does he/she love to swim? Will he/she jump into water? If you answered yes, or even if you think it's a yes, you are gonna want to give Dock Diving a try! Dock diving is one the fastest growing sports for dogs and it is so much fun! Almost any dog can do it, as long as he/she loves water, can swim (even if it's with a life jacket for beginners), and has a favorite toy they love to retrieve!

Dock Diving is an easy, fun, exciting sport with very simple rules: You throw your dog’s favorite toy into a pool while he waits on a dock about 40 feet long. On your command, she/he runs down the dock, and jumps into our 50' pool as you toss their favorite toy, then lands in the pool and swims back to the ramp with their reward. (Their toy)
What's the goal? To have the longest jump possible! (This could be as short as a couple feet for beginners, or 36' for those seriously catching some air.
