Oh the things I get myself into 🫣 this little guy was found in the DUMPSTER! Umbilical still attached, waited for mama to come back and never did, so they brought him to me. Now we are bottle feeding every two hours and the kids have named him Snoopy.

Every day we get a little bit closer to the nightmare being over 🌟
For those that don’t know in September of last year, our home and entire property flooded, as we raced to save animals with Pigs swimming, chickens drowning, we threw as many chickens on roosts as possible, baby cows were put in a trailer hoping the water wouldn’t rise any further, cows and horses were pushed to far out fields in hopes no one would drown we realized the kids were in the house as water started coming in through the windows & doors. So we threw as much of our belongings up on bricks that we could and left..the next day the water had receded enough to come back and go over the damage. We gutted the house, ripping up floors, walls, cabinets, tile, tubs the list was endless.
This connex box held our whole life for the last 7 months and I’m so excited to see it gone! 🤪
So the next time you pray for rain, do us a solid and ask for less than 4-5 inches in a day 😉

Yall please please 🙏 wash yo dang dishes. We have almost 300 jars in circulation and you bringing them back clean is VITAL. We cannot be hand scrubbing 300 jars every week! 🧽 When we sanitize jars it’s not going to get your crusties so then when we inspect before cooling and see things like this we have to dump more milk. 🥛 no idea what is on the inside of this jar but it took some elbow grease 😅

Well that’s not good, luckily the wind didn’t damage a whole lot here at the farm. Flipped this lean-to up over the fence taking off some of the sheets but that’s the worst of it #westtexas #wind #westtexasbusiness #dairy #homestead #farmlife #farm

Every once in a while we will get a single soft shelled egg. What causes it? It’s a lack of calcium! So we up their calcium with oyster shells or start feeding the shells of the eggs we use back to them!

Lots of work to do still but this is an exciting addition to the farm! The front of the building will act as a farm store, stocked with all your favorite farm fresh items!
