Dr. Danielson is here with Caring Paws patient Sammy to address some concerns regarding the regarding the eclipse and pets.
We have an exciting update to share on Caring Paws patient Gus - he is now 5 months post treatment and heās doing great! The redness and inflammation in his gums have gone down and we are eating great now!
Gus a kitty rescued by Feline Dreams, Inc., has stomatitis, an inflammatory condition where the immune system overreacts causing bacteria associated with soft plaque to become severely inflamed. This led to ulceration and tooth reabsorption.
Conventional treatment options include a full mouth extraction to help remove this bacteria, steroids, and immune suppressors. These have all been tried, however Gus didn't respond. He was having difficulty eating and was in chronic pain which affected his quality of life in a significant way. It was time to get creative and consider a novel approach - stem cell therapy - to attempt to improve this condition and afford Mr. Gus a better quality of life as you can see it has had a very positive effect thus far.
Stem cell therapy promotes the body's healing response by injecting the collected stem cells into the injured area. Stem cell therapy is effective in treating a variety of issues in both cats and dogs.
Wondering if stem cell therapy can help your cat or dog?
