All horses, unless ill or injured, deserve free choice turn out.

Why don’t caretakers understand this?

Yup! Nice thinking horse here.
Great rider! (Although the highest point isn’t the poll, I agree with what is written)
Looks like horse is leaning on the rider’s hand and he’s using his center to lift the horse up and change the horse’s center of gravity.

Lisa Wilcox working with Ernst Hoyos, he tells us:
“Riders don’t realise that they are asking two opposite things. I also have a nice contact in the forward, but the pressure I make, I have also got to let out again. This is the ever-changing task of maintaining the energy – it goes back and forth over the back, this is the bridge, and the energy is going from the hind end and the hocks over the back through the neck and into the mouth, and then back again. You are just maintaining the energy. If you brace with dead hands, then the energy flows out the back.”

My Grandfather was in the Canadian Calvery!

**Silent Hooves: A Remembrance for the War Horses**
Silent hooves on the battlefield, lost in time’s gray mist,
Ghostly shapes of courage, in every gallop, every twist.
Eyes wide with loyalty, hearts fierce and true,
They carried soldiers’ burdens, like heroes born anew.

Beneath the roar of cannon fire, in mud and cold and dread,
These valiant steeds, with noble hearts, pressed onward, bravely led.
Through endless fields of suffering, they thundered without pause,
Their only bond a silent vow, their loyalty the cause.

Forgotten in the pages, just shadows in the dust,
Yet still they ride in memory, their duty wrought in trust.
The reins they wore, the saddles borne, no longer weigh them down—
Now free to roam in endless fields, untouched by war’s dark crown.

Today we stand in silence, for warriors lost and gone,
Yet remember too the gallant steeds who helped to carry on.
In solemn thanks we bow our heads, for lives lost in the fight—
Both man and beast, remembered here, in morning’s softest light.

Silent hooves on distant hills, beyond our earthly pain,
We hear their echo softly now, like distant drops of rain.
So let us keep their memory, those souls so brave and strong—
For in the fields of memory, they ride forever on.

It’s possible that this page may be taken down by the powers that be??
If so, I’ll make a new page. With the title: Horses of Hope???
It would need approval….
Or I can be found Michelle Mangold.

Our Story

Welcome to our page! Vision: To rescue at risk horses, who will in turn rescue us. My vision is to bring the unwanted in an environment of love and healing. I teach natural horsemanship to all ages and stages of growing. I truly hope to build your faith in humanity and faith in the power of loving horses. Hope: A feeling of expectation and desire of certain things to happen. Rescue: comprises responsive operations that usually involve the saving of life, or prevention of injury during an incident or dangerous situation.

Here's a list of the things Horses of Hope plans on doing this year. *Develop excellent natural horsemen and women who are (children) through our natural horsemanship courses, private lessons and workshops. *Create student lead private lessons and beginner courses. *Clear out more space for riding and pasture. *Do group trail rides with students with trail riding savvy. *Finish all horses so that our horses are available to be ridden by students as they climb the ladder in their horse savvy skills. *Develop Drill Teams that will do exhibitions and performances here for our entertainment pleasure, with the hopes of traveling to other local facilities and performing at their event. *Most importantly impart the desire to belong to the cause of saving, and rehabilitating at-risk horses. *Purchase 4 horse trailer and new truck for taking our drill team on the road, and saving at-risk horses. *Have a game day for all students on a regular basis.

Thank you in advance for helping us come closer to our projected goals. Sincerely, Michelle Everything I do is to save another life. If you don't want to come to a riding lesson, workshop, event or camp, consider donating time or money to this worthy cause.

You financial donation or volunteer time is tax deductible.
