Job Description:
Ensure that the tasks around the rescue are completed. All tasks include kennel cleaning, dog walking, feeding dogs, bathing dogs, etc. Will work closely with other volunteers at the rescue. Will be paired with an experienced lead and trained until comfortable completing tasks independently. At the rescue we treat every dog with respect and care, we would expect that you do the same and support the rescue efforts.
You will be asked to work about 25 hours per week, including one weekend shift. AM shifts are from 7:30am-12:30pm and PM shifts are from 5:00pm-830pm. Pay will be bi-weekly.
Requirements:
- 21 years or older
- Hard working
- Experience working with dogs
- Must be comfortable working and handling large dogs
Ideal Candidate:
Someone who is hard working, has a passion for working with dogs, and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. Keeping up with a rescue can be hard work but at the end of the day it is one of the most fulfilling works you can do. The ideal candidate is someone who goes above what is asked and takes initiative to help where needed. The ideal candidate will not favor one dog over another and will ensure that fairness and respect is given to each and every dog that comes in. Lastly, this person will have good team work, as this is essential when working with other volunteers.

Meet Mitch! 🐶 Mitch is a 5-year-old mixed breed. He loves people, exploring the world around him and water🌊! There is nothing he loves more than to sit and lean against a volunteer while watching everything around him🫶🏼 He enjoys a nice walk and is working on his leash manners. Mitch would do best in a home with someone who works from home or is home often. He does well with kids and would make a great family dog❤️. If you are looking for a dog to join you in your adventures and run through the water of the beaches, Mitch is the dog for you!
